I made this earlier w/o the pepper flakes and half of the pepper paste and I almost threw up from how spicy it is. Couldn’t finish it but it was super good. She’s a champ 🤗

Ok so I watched this video A TON OF TIMES because it looked SO good. So my awesome wife went to our local Asian market and found EVERY ingredient you used in your dish. She watched your video over and over while she was making it to make sure she was on point. When she finally finished all I have to say is HOLY COW IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!! The ingredients weren’t expensive at all and it made enough to be more than satisfied. I never had anything like this before but your video inspired my wife to try something new and it was delicious. Thank you so much. And folks if you haven’t made it yet you have to do it! You’ll be glad you did.

@@VictoriaAB it’s suuuuper spicy. I don’t have the pepper flakes only the paste. I add half the amount of paste she does and half the spicy packet (from the noodle pack) and it’s still spicy. I add chicken boullion to add in some extra flavor since I only used half the spice packet and it’s gooood and still spicy ☺️

If you don’t want it to spicy add only maybe 1/2 a TBS of Korean chili paste and less Korean chili flakes, if you want more spicy add more and u can add more ingredients to make it less spicy and if you want it less spicy you can also not add all of the noodle sauce becuase the noodle sauce is very spicy for some people

I always wanted to try these, but here in Germany it‘s not so easy to come by the ingredients. I‘m so happy I found everything in my Favorit Asian Shop! I just added some Shiitake and it was AWESOME!!! Omg my family loved it!
A lot of people start with just water but a good both like chicken, beef, or fish broth makes this SO MUCH better. And honestly you have to have red pepper paste or its not the same. The flakes are more optional. Excuse me now as go make this lmao the cravings come quick!

Amanda McNeil if it’s not korean pepper powder and you can’t see each individual flake then it won’t be very good
Pepper flakes are not optional. Its a fundamental ingred. same with red pepper paste

Tteokboki is made many ways but it’s sweet and spicy. It didn’t seem like you added any sugar. You either use natural sugar (honey) or just regular sugar ILY SAS ❤️

I use a spoonful of sugar.
Brown sugar is amazing with it
Sanuu I use coconut nectar or Bee Free Honee which is made from Apples, but has the consistency of honey, along with Tamari sauce and gochujang paste. Have you ever seen Mommy Tang on UA-cam make it?

I totally made these, but savory not sweet; I used the same stew noodles but didn’t use the packets because they have lots of sugar so I bought some organic coconut aminos gochujong, pepper flakes, and vegetable “Better Than Bouillon”. I added little smokies sausages as well for my mom, green onions, and used fresh mozzarella. Also did 2 soft boiled eggs. I love this tutorial; so grateful because my meal was absolutely everything I thought it would be, DELICIOUS!!! The rice cake are beyond satisfying to me!!!!

I love those noodles I get them all the time for the Korean store! I also tried rice cakes for the first time and they are so good! It’s has like a sweet taste to it once you chew. So good! 😋😋😋
Taylor D. Try asking your Korean store if they have the giant rice cakes that they make fresh there! They are so much better than the smaller frozen ones. I buy the fresh ones then, separate into individual bags and freeze for when I want to make them. They are soooo goood!!! 😃
