@Smitha Raghavan in the world of music there's no standard. Yes sometimes very creative things that sounds awesome are held at par with standards but nothing as such exists in the world of art and music. That so called best thing also comes out of attempts of good creation. Those may be the fruits of better efforts. But such widely acclaimed creations are never meant to halt the progress of musicians or artists. A fruit of creativity never kills future endeavors of creativity. Changes are obvious . In nature and in choices of people. The goodness lies in that how instead of the changes and westernisation , we have not left behind our culture. We take our culture with us , in our bosoms. Music has nothing to do with nationality and blending it shows how versatile the piece is. Beautiful composition.
Freedom of singing notes in any fashion must be respected, as long as we can put make ups, true. But a beautifully written song with brilliant notes and based on a perfect raga lies here rent apart.
