I love everything about this figure; the sculpting, the colour scheme, the accessories. Top tier all the way. I only had the European version growing up, slightly brighter colours and ginger hair, just wasn't the same
I wish I could get the European version of Mutt, then since I have extra accessories, just put them on that version of Mutt!🤔👍🏾
Though I had played with my friend's 82 GI Joe straight arms, I only had Star Wars figures until I got Mutt and Junk for my birthday in 84. From that day forward, Star Wars figures meant nothing to me.
I've wanted Mutt for years like all the joes from 84 Awesome figure, be nice to have a Marauders version 🐕
First Gi joe figure my cousin gave to me. Ever since then he's always had a sentimental place for me.
I utilized Mutt as an MP. He looked the part. I called his night stick a "whack-thump" it made only 2 noises, whack followed by a dull thump.
He's one of my favorite figures. Really excellent.
great review and its one of my favorite characters from that year
Hey bud, just saw this vid. First thanks for making these, you and Formbx257 are two of my favs. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that the glove on his left hand is for tension on the lead, not to protect the handler from the K-9. Also, the term K-9 handler is what should be on his card as his MOS. The term "Dog" is almost never used, and K-9 is a term used in the military and law enforcement, not a play on words. I was a LE K-9 Handler for two years. Not trying to be insulting, just informing you of details you didn't know. Now you know.......
Yeah, he's never read this.
One of my favirites figures (still survive) since i was kid." im wandering if the patch on his shoulder is the same Eagle of the Sky striker" :D
God I love that gun favorite in all gi joe line- usually paired it with snake eyes v 2- seemed like it flowed much better than snake eyes’ uzi
lol, Tanya Harding!!! awesome! funny thing: I lived in Vancouver Washington (Just across the river from Portland Oregon) and I would go to a little dive bar called Nicks Tavern in a surrounding town called Amboy WA . This is Tanya Hardings regular hang out.... No joke. well, aside from her failed career.
this guy was the "bossman" for my stockade whenever it was holding inmates
this is a definite top tier figure. his helmet and mask looks like that of a paratrooper. some of the other figures you've reviewed have a similar helmet style like hit and run. the goggles look like they could be used for skydiving. the star and wings symbol on the chest almost looks like some sort of airbore thing. in one of the cartoon episodes he attaches a parachute to junkyard and toses him out and mutt follows. i received 4 of him 1 christmas, along with the bivoac. yeah, hes in my top 10 joe figures.
I didn't discover until after I did this video that Mutt was originally intended to be a Cobra figure. The star badge was originally a Cobra badge, which they changed when they decided to make him a Joe.
Mutt does have a fairly good black moustache.
Woofie McBark Bark would be a superior name for Mutt; LOVE IT!
I named my new puppy that "Doggie McBarkbark"
I use to live in Portland OR where Tonya harding use to live and I use to see her all the time training for the Olympics. Hell, I met a couple of the people that helped her get Nancy caragan. Of course that was after they got out of prison. Lol
I had the same weapon issue with my figure. The gloved left hand was a much tighter fit, so I used that for the Mac-11 and put the night stick in the right hand with the loop around the wrist. Worked fine. Then the leash around either wrist. Incidentally, mine was the European version and I sent it to you a while back, so you can try it out!
how in the heck did i miss this review? great!
Such a nice figure. I never had this one, but I did get Law & Order. Looking forward to your next review !
My first Joe!!!!
Woofy McBarkbark must have been his 90s replacement in the comic.
Good 'ol Mutt. I had this guy, lost the muzzle right away. Never used the dog. He was always left at HQ locked in the jail. Which doubled as a kennel.
Who else died when HCC788 said "Doggy McBarkbark
Woofie McBark-Bark!😂😂😂
Great review!
would'nt mind getting a Mutt figure in Cobra Trooper disguise
To me it looks like the Qualified Expert badge but with a star instead of an iron cross. Also it may be the top half of a Master Parachutist (Airborne) badge.
StarscreamsGhost1986 It could be something like that. Sometimes Hasbro played around with the badge and patch designs.
tonya harding??? classic haha
I don't get it
Doggy McBarkbark lol funny
Cool! I do not have this one yet! I was looking to get one! Ware do you get all yours?
@HCC788 What is your opinion on people making custom GI Joe figures from Marauder Task Force or other figures?
Hey when is Joecon
I remember Tonya Harding; a true devil woman.
I think his badge is probably an mp. did u know bowser and blitz is a c.o.p.s. equivalent mutt and junkyard.
"It's crime fighting time!" ;)
Isn’t the mask idea that Mutt is so doglike he needs a muzzle?
I remember Tonya Harding.
Ben Penserga I'm glad someone does! I don't feel so old.
Mutt is terribly allergic to freshly cut grass; his mask keeps him safe from summer garrison mowing.
Tonya Harding Really?
he looks like Freddie Mercury
lol Tonya Harding how can we forget, I have Mutt & Junkard but your look in better shape
TheDarthvalen I'll bet Nancy Kerrigan hasn't forgotten! It's a good figure, and you can probably pick up on that's in good shape fairly easily. I think the many little accessories are the main headache with this one!
HoodedCobraCommander788 Yea mine has a big sentimental value to me because my father got it for me when it firstcame out
That's great! It is nice that you still have some of your childhood figures. I have none of mine, sadly. My brother has a toolbox with some parts of our childhood figures, but it is storage, and he has not dug it out. I'd like to get my hands on it someday. Congrats on still having your childhood Mutt!
HoodedCobraCommander788 Thanks bro
hes allergic to doghair thats why the mask!
