I went to this Grateful Dead summer tour in Las Vegas and when Sting played the song Heavy Cloud No Rain a thunder head passed right over the Sam Boyd Silver Dome and dumped on us what a trip that day was.
1994 and it was the dead coming I to looks like rain. And Sam boyd silver bowl had no dome roof. But yeah it was awesome . It had been such a hot day with dust devils taring through the lot totally random . The rain felt like heaven
@@wanderer85295 Thanks man goes to show you how blurry things can get in your memory as a head. I do remember having to wrap my T shirt around my face during the dust storms though good times though especially camping out at government wash beautiful starry nights in the warmth of the desert.
😮 100% there are so many things that kind of all blend together . Those were the best days of my life. The late 80's to the early 90's. That particular show has always been of special meaning as it was there that I found out that I was going to be a father . I have a pic a good friend at the time took of Jerry at that show hanging on my wall. Jerry's last show was my baby daughters first show . Crazy to think she's nearly 30 now. Seems like yesterday but in a different life . That said I am ever so grateful that I was blessed to have been alive at a time when I was able to see Jerry and the boys 100 times. to have seen them even once is a great blessing especially in that golden range in 89 and 90 before Brent died. Sometimes you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right. Peace be the journey family
@@Shakedownstreet295 I'm on a semi-old cel phone ... this vid is not bad quality; here on my end it looks + sounds good the video 'wobble' adds a nice touch. 💯 % Sting is definitely an important part of GD history.
Jerry is so humble. 🔥 I wish I could back in time! ❤
One of the most humble human that walked on the planet

“You are like the Willie Nelson of rock n roll”
Jerry: “thank you”

The video quality sucks but I did it because I feel Sting is an important part of GD history. Thanks Lucy

I listened to your song, la dee dee de da da da.
I don't think that Tom ever listened to the Police or the Dead... just listening to him try to be cool and connect to them is painful.
The dada doo doo
The tv reporters back then were all like that.
