“Triggered by his view that Taiwan should pay for part of their defense” seems to infer that Taiwan does not currently pay for their own defense. Taiwan spends approximately $19.4 billion representing 2.4% of their GDP.

As usual, every time Trump speaks, lies tumble out of his big mouth.

According to the US State Department, Taiwan has been paying for its own defense, and the US provides military equipment and services to Taiwan through foreign military financing (FMF) and other means. The US does not charge Taiwan for defense, as it is committed to ensuring Taiwan’s self-defense capability.

I would of liked your take on Netflix doing away with the basic ($11.99) plan for those subscribers who were grandfathered in. On all the Reddit forums everyone said they will cancel their subscription including me because the programs as a group are not worth close to $200 a year and people didn't move to streaming from cable to get ads with their shows so now these companies are no better than the cable companies. I predict Netflix will lose subscribers when they report earnings next time.

Forget about brand damage…this literally stopped retail, healthcare, financial, communications, transportation and business operations around the entire world. I’d be more concerned about the legal ramifications this could have as there was easily multiple billions of dollars of revenue lost because of it.

Exactly, who pays the billions in damages....some from insurance, but what happens to the premiums next year? If just 5% of the customers bail and add in the legal expenses, I smell a future earnings miss and with this company priced so highly it could get ugly. I've been averaging out, got 25% out before this, 25% after it and we'll see about holding the rest. Just too risky for my portfolio right now with the current valuation.

In the book "Stranger in a Strange Land" .. there is a line where he says what separates humans from the rest of the animal kingdom is the ability to have a sense of humor... Hmmmm will AI ever laugh? Also for me personally idk want to listen to a song written by AI nor would i rather see Art that is created by AI than an artist. My daughter is a professional graphic artist & I really like the things she creates so much more than the computers.. just more insightful & original to me. I would bet any one who loves art & music feels the same (idk to each his own) I'm sure Picasso would agree!! Btw I'm all in on AI but those things hmmmm... not something I would enjoy.
