This performance is from "Show mask go on" and only aired on 25/09/21, so it's brand new. The judges are also fellow competitors - they judge each other and award marks. There will be a guest judge each week - for this first show it was the opera singer Yusif Eyvazov (he is the chap, with the beard, who stood up during the song). 7 out of 8 of her fellow competitors gave her 1st place and the other 2nd place. Marks are given from 9 points down to 2 points (obviously, you cant' mark yourself). The guest judge has 9 points which he can distribute as he feels necessary - on this occasion he gave everybody 1 point each.

Diana had a hard time until she was 5. Until she was 3, Diana lived with her birth mother, who used to drink and beat her so badly that she once broke her collarbone. Then the child welfare authorities took Diana to an orphanage and the mother was deprived of her parental rights. Diana was treated in this children's home. When Diana was 5 years old, she was adopted by a woman who gave Diana massages. At that time, Diana had a stutter (this was a consequence of the stresses she was under when she lived with her birth mother). Diana is a contralto which is the lowest voice for a woman, Cher is contralto but she does not have the skill and call day of town that Diana has. Diana at age 3 1/2 was beaten and left on the street with a broken collarbone by her mother. She ended up in a orphanage but was so loved by one of the workers that she adopted her Diana could still not speak by the age of 4 1/2 so they gave her voice lessons thinking that that would help and the voice teacher discovered her amazing voiceAnd the rest is history.

You can hear them being activated during this performance. Truly remarkable. That judge that stands up holding his hands up is a famous Russian Opera singer. He's just heard an Angel. You said that this competition is for disadvantaged youngsters. That's correct. Diana had an incredibly bad start in life. She was abused terribly by her mother. She's from Vladivostok, and she was found abandoned in a bus shelter aged 3 tears old. That's not the worst. It's winter, she has no coat, covered entirely in bodily bruises & a broken collarbone. She was taken into care, but her mother found her dragged her away and tried to drown her to hide her crimes. Luckily she was rescued. The authorities then moved her away about a 1000 miles to keep her safe. She was so traumatised that they thought it would be a miracle that she could be brought back to normality. She couldn't speak. So they brought in a speech therapist to try to bring her out. That lady saved her, she managed to get her to speak, however, she could only stutter. They then noticed that she started singing to TV cartoons. She's now aged around 4. Slowly this little girl was bringing herself out of darkness through singing. So they brought in a singing coach to encourage her, it worked. Then aged 5 she was put into care of a foster mother. That lady was & still is a saint. The love was brought back into Diana's life. She started entering competitions at around 8 to 10 years old. Then she won a place on that Russian show. She just kept getting better. Then aged14 she won with a Russian folk song. Then she won the next stage with a song called " I'm Only Human " Still aged 14. Then at 15 it's the song that you have just viewed. " Can't Help Falling In Love " Indecently, it's in a minor key, not the usual major key. That's why it sounds so dark with that low Contralto voice. She goes down to a D3. then shoots up to an f6 That's unbelievable for any female singer let alone that she's only 15. She's affectionately known as the Queen of Goosebumps or, the Angel with the Devils Voice. She's now 21. She now has a 4 octave range. She sang the vocals for the film "Dune 2 " when she was 19 years old. So she's not only singing pop music, she's also into semi opera. AND THOSE GOWNS. WOW. She has now come to the attention of the top fashion photographers. She has the bodily trim of Audrey Hepburn with an oriental face. Very appealing. By disadvantaged, it meant children who were orphans or removed from parental care. Diana suffered from childhood abuse by her alcoholic mother (never knew her father) and was removed and placed in an orphanage when she was 3. Fortunately she was later adopted into a wonderful family.
The video you watched is not "You Are Super" - Diana competed on that in 2018 & 2019. This performance is from "Show mask go on" and only aired on 25/09/21, so it's brand new. The judges are also fellow competitors - they judge each other and award marks. There will be a guest judge each week - for this first show it was the opera singer Yusif Eyvazov (he is the chap, with the beard, who stood up during the song). 7 out of 8 of her fellow competitors gave her 1st place and the other 2nd place. Marks are given from 9 points down to 2 points (obviously, you cant' mark yourself). The guest judge has 9 points which he can distribute as he feels necessary - on this occasion he gave everybody 1 point each.

Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She won the genetics lottery, and it's been called the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.

Diana had a hard time until she was 5. Until she was 3, Diana lived with her birth mother, who used to drink and beat her so badly that she once broke her collarbone. Then the child welfare authorities took Diana to an orphanage and the mother was deprived of her parental rights. Diana was treated in this children's home. When Diana was 5 years old, she was adopted by a woman who gave Diana massages. At that time, Diana had a stutter (this was a consequence of the stresses she was under when she lived with her birth mother). One of the doctors advised that the girl should also sing more (this also helps to cure her stuttering). That's when they saw that Diana had an excellent hearing and voice. And Diana started serious vocal training. By the age of 14, Diana had taken part in more than 50 vocal competitions and often won prizes.
At 14, Diana took part in the vocal show "You're Super!" Two famous producers were on the jury there. They were very surprised when they saw Diana's talent for the first time. She won "You're Super!" and was given a flat in Moscow. Now she's studying, giving solo concerts, recording music videos.

Diana is a contralto which is the lowest voice for a woman, Cher is contralto but she does not have the skill and call day of town that Diana has. Diana at age 3 1/2 was beaten and left on the street with a broken collarbone by her mother. She ended up in a orphanage but was so loved by one of the workers that she adopted her Diana could still not speak by the age of 4 1/2 so they gave her voice lessons thinking that that would help and the voice teacher discovered her amazing voiceAnd the rest is history.

I very much enjoyed watching your "discovery" reaction to Diana. She has an amazing life story...which started badly when her birth mother tried to kill her when she was only a toddler. The adoptive mother, Irina, is the source of love and support Diana needed...God bless her! Diana was having difficulty speaking so a speech therapist recommended that Diana sing to help develop her speech. Her unusual contralto singing voice was discovered and then nurtured by vocal coaches. She won many singing competitions and finally got on "You are Super!" because it is a competition for disadvantaged children who grew up without blood parent. She won 2nd season at 14, then was invited to the "Super Season Of You are Super" along with previous winners of the show. She won the super season as well at age 15! She is one of the most popular singers in Russia as well as the world. This performance of "Can''t Help Falling In Love" is part of a new program called 'Showmaskgoon" with 9 singers who judge each other on the Eurovision point system from 2-9. Each week singers are assigned a category and song to sing. Diana's first category was this Elvis song in the Grammy category. She blew the other singers/judges away! She received all but one 9 and was in the top spot at end of show. There are 6 more shows to go. The 4th episode is this coming Saturday. My interpretation of it all, when she sings that wonderful and super emotional cover is that she's a faraway and exiled witch girl (that can manipulate others with her magical and positively cursed female voice) living in the darkest woods far from civilization and have fall in love with a human boy (a boy she stalks almost every time ,when she's at the outskirt of the woods, close by the human city in which he's unaware of that she does..)from the royal palace that she KNOWS she's never can have in which that hurts her so almost deadly bad and that's why she's mesmerizing emotionally expressing herself with this unique cover of that wonderful song of Elvis P. a dangerous voice that destroying almost all on her path where she is in the woods after ANOTHER unreachable love-sight of the human boy....Yeah..lol....Anyways, a nice reaction, that's for sure. She's from Vladivostok, and she was found abandoned in a bus shelter aged 3 tears old. That's not the worst. It's winter, she has no coat, covered entirely in bodily bruises & a broken collarbone. She was taken into care, but her mother found her dragged her away and tried to drown her to hide her crimes. Luckily she was rescued. The authorities then moved her away about a 1000 miles to keep her safe. She was so traumatised that they thought it would be a miracle that she could be brought back to normality. She couldn't speak. So they brought in a speech therapist to try to bring her out. That lady saved her, she managed to get her to speak, however, she could only stutter. They then noticed that she started singing to TV cartoons. She's now aged around 4. Slowly this little girl was bringing herself out of darkness through singing. So they brought in a singing coach to encourage her, it worked. Then aged 5 she was put into care of a foster mother. That lady was & still is a saint. The love was brought back into Diana's life. She started entering competitions at around 8 to 10 years old. Then she won a place on that Russian show. She just kept getting better. Then aged14 she won with a Russian folk song. Then she won the next stage with a song called " I'm Only Human " Still aged 14. Then at 15 it's the song that you have just viewed. " Can't Help Falling In Love " Indecently, it's in a minor key, not the usual major key. That's why it sounds so dark with that low Contralto voice. She goes down to a D3. then shoots up to an f6 That's unbelievable for any female singer let alone that she's only 15. She's affectionately known as the Queen of Goosebumps or, the Angel with the Devils Voice. She's now 21. She now has a 4 octave range. She sang the vocals for the film "Dune 2 " when she was 19 years old. So she's not only singing pop music, she's also into semi opera. AND THOSE GOWNS. WOW. She has now come to the attention of the top fashion photographers. She has the bodily trim of Audrey Hepburn with an oriental face. Very appealing. When she is finally allowed to venture into the west, especially America, she'll blow all the female singers apart. No one has got a voice & range as this young lady. And she's still only 21.
