You are a class act. I wish more collectors were this transparent. It is unfortunate that posting about your experiences also brings along people who should be nowhere near a keyboard. I hope that you recognize how much you are doing for the hobby by posting about your experiences. I admire your courage for posting this.

Right! TRIKE415, the reason why I watch this channels is a combination of your victories, and foibles, and joy that you bring. Shut down the haters; they're boring.

I was the guy in your comments that recommended contacting Chris. Kudos to you for doing that and helping everyone learn from your experience. Chris really gave some great insight like I figured that he would, and you'll definitely be better prepared the next time that a bulk deal opportunity comes to you.

I have to say I respect the heck out of anyone who is willing to admit their mistakes. Don’t listen to the negative.
This follow up video was great, love the information you two are giving. Keep up the great videos

Chris's channel is amazing and his playlist about all his deals and how he breaks them down is a must watch for anyone wanting to get into the bulk buying side of things. SO great you had him on and were able to connect.

Troy, you have a great channel and I regularly watch you. Your trip is comparable to paying for an education, as you will learn from that mistake. I have bought several bulk deals, and I have made mistakes on the amount of time that it takes just to get to even. However, it is really fun! Lastly, ignore the negative comments, as those people are the ones without the courage to take the risk and relive it with an audience. It stinks to lose money, but the lessons learned are priceless.

I admire the fact that you posted your minor mistake here. The older I get the more I realize that failing is a great thing because you learn so much from the experience. It actually ends up as a Net gain in the long run. The only true failures are people who never try. ""There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing." - Aristotle"

Kudos to you for posting the initial trip video, and this excellent follow-up video! It's so easy for people to criticize online, but that's easy to do. It's much harder to do what you're doing, which is taking chances, learning, and putting yourself out there. I really appreciate your vulnerability! Keep up the great work!!

It also provides content what not to do & others may learn from your mistakes.

When buying bulk in collections, always look for vintage pre 1980s or look for ultra-modern. You will always find collectors needing singles for complete vintage sets. As for ultra-modern, you can always put together re-packs for kids and new collectors.

I would send anything gradeable to psa that would get me over $75 a slab. Any slab over $100 eBay it. Under Goldin auctions. And then any raw $5-25 Comc. Donate commons. Schedule c write off yearly gains or losses. 🎉🎉🎉

I always consider travel expenses, pricing and my time when I buy collections or do deals. You got a trip to Hawaii. How many ppl can say "I flew to Hawaii to buy a sportscards collection." Haters can't comprehend the benefits to the labor.
