Another absolutely brilliant Irish singer who just needs one or two outstanding stand out songs to make it internationally. But she and most other Irish singers must realize that singing the same old worn out songs is just not going to cut it in the stiff competitive international music world out there. It seems to me that the music world in Ireland is similar to the the theatre world in Ireland, they both seem to be stuck in a time warp and I mean all of this with the greatest of respect. Honestly, why do you think Michael Flately has made hundreds of millions of dollars with our Irish dancing, if it was left to the status quo they would still be doing the same old thing. Another example can be found in the much vaunted Irish theatre world where they are non stop staging "The Playboy Of The Western World." What I'm trying to say here is I think Caitlin should check out three new songs I've written from album "Full Circle," sung by Jeff Conlon. The three songs are "Evergreen Ireland," God's Hands," and "Carmel Sweet Carmel." Beautiful. Just discovered this young lady and Joe Moore when I heard their cover of Golden Ring. Best version ever. The country music here in America is pretty much garbage now (except for Josh Turner), so it's been such a pleasure hearing their songs. The beauty of simplicity and actual talent. I've wondered where it went---it's in Ireland. :)
Caitlin murtagh ashes of love is the most beautiful powerful song. I can't seem to find the song anywhere as I heard it on Irish TV. But all the songs are powerful and she has such an amazing smile. 😍 Caitlin can you do a video of ashes of love again please because I love that tune so much
