Wow its like a level on a console game! Would be a nightmare if the torched failed! Epic footage, really interesting to see inside that thing, many thanks!
Mjösjö is one of five heavy mountain forts and three smaller fortifications, as well as individual artillery batteries, which together make up Boden's fortress. These are placed in a ring around the city of Boden. Between the five heavy forts and the three fortifications were a number of infantry redoubts, tank barriers and cannon embankments to protect the forts
This is one of the five big fortress, two small fortress and thousands of smaller objects for military defence included in the 'Bodens fästning' (fortress of Boden) in the north of Sweden. Rödbergsfortet is the best preserved of them and is shown to the public. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boden_Fortress

@@TattooedTraveler its all handmade with handtools and dynamite. They shoot like a big cannon from the side of the trench like a big shotgun. Everything that was in the trench was desinigrated. Full of barbwire and watertrenches.
No sci-fi writer or filmmaker could have come up with this kind of thing, right down to all of the builders' plates. Some of this reminds me of the N. Tesla underground work--which, by the way, is running on UA-cam as we speak. Is there anybody alive who could write the history of this fort? After all, it didn't close that long ago. The strukture of the stone is better then concrete mutch stronger. Alot of work and manhour. Stay tuned for upcomming videos for mor fort/bunkers! Thanks!
When we see all these mega military projects throughout the world, it makes you wonder what the world could be like if we used the same amounts of money, resources and money, in peacetime, to make our planet a better place for mankind.
If guys ever visit belgium. Here in belgium we have an massive fort that housed 1200men in times of action. The fort is called : Eben emael. It is situated in the little town of ...you guessed it : Eben emael and is south of Maastricht. It was 1 of the outer ring defensive forts of the city Luik. You can visit it because its a museum now and its really worth a visit. It was a WWII fort and was in that time called : impenetrable fort. Wellllll belgium had good forts but not well trained men at that era. It did got taken and a bit to fast ... You wanne know more ? check the internet or go visit the fort. :)
Wow . Please do more and if possible tell us some history , or factual stories about your video subject. It seems forts in the north west of Europe have not been stripted bare . All other forts in Europe are bare masonry by comparison with this one , unless they are museums . Cheers

@@jeffcicale Impressive place right? I wonder what the process was behind this one, seems to be a carved out trench.

Impossible .Since the beginning of time you can find someone who wants your ,,stuff, for free ,and you need tyo protect your ,,stuff,, .
Necessity is the mother of invention.
Keeping your society from becoming slaves is the greatest necessity.

Awesome fort! Really liked the background info in the beginning. Did it smell like mormors källare?
Mormors källare and kronans vapenfett, the smell of power.
What is the name of this fort? What country is it in?
Mjösjöfortet, Sweden. Thanks for watching.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boden_Fortress
Looks like it's cut straight into the bedrock
It is! Good old shizzle and sledgehammer to carve straight into the bedrock! And dynamite to! Thanks for watching!
At 11:02 there is what appears to be a Swastika on a label. Given the age of this fort, I suppose some equipment could have come from Germany?
ASEA was actually a swedish company that had the swastika as their logo. This was ofcourse before the nazis used the symbol. Thanks for watching!
Big news flash for you people ..this is an anceint stargate....if that's correct...or arkaba
That's right, according to movie canon it was Swedes who discovered the Stargate in Egypt.
What is the name of the fort
