Seriously though, a lot of people don't realize animals can have broken heart's. A previous owner who abused, mistreated, betrayed violated and abandoned them can leave a lasting impact for the next owners. It's heartbreaking.

Watching the Llama peak out the doorway to look at the donkeys was adorable.
Llamas, like camels, are famous for their outrageous personalities. But all our fellow creatures can be slow to trust - probably with reason.
I adopted a young cat from a family who couldn't keep/didn't want him anymore.
I've had cats for decades and am very accustom to them.
This cat was so shy. It took 4 months before we could touch him.
For 2 months he hid.
Month 3, he'd walk around us when we were asleep, & sit with us while we ate breakfast.
Month 4, he's sit in the same room with us, and follow us if we went elsewhere. But still, no touching allowed.
Then the dam broke. One day he let me stroke his neck and BOOM..he spent the next 24 hours rolling on us, purring and wriggling.
He's still skittish in many ways, gets over-sensitized quickly, & he cannot sit on a lap.
But he sleeps next to me, or on top of my face (I've inhaled so much fur) , and rubs his face against his people over and over - more like he's petting us.
Those 4 months were odd, but by month 2 when he showed he wanted company, we knew we were on the right path and just had to re-assure him, and let him be himself.
I wouldn't change a hair
Loved how Franky came out to check out the donkeys. He wanted to scope them out. He seems to find them as acceptable llama substitutes. Franky looks happy in his new home with all his friends. Lucky Llama!

Llamas are tricky, and yes, they need company. Ours was the head of a goat herd and they absolutely loved him. Followed him everywhere. He was a perfect gentleman to the milk goat's and very patient with the young ones, who would use him for a game of King of the Hill. When he got tired of being climbed upon he would just stand up. Wonderful animals. Thank you for giving this one a purpose.

Man adopted donkeys in order to make his adopted llama feel more comfortable. If I had money, I like to think this is the life I would choose for myself. I love this so much.

That’s what I do too. Sometimes I go into a spiral thinking how bad the world is and I have a special playlist with videos like this that I watch to restore my faith in humanity.

Lee's an angel in a mans body, absolute great guy and saviour to SO many animals, not to mention he's the kindest guy with a heart of gold, whenever an animal sadly passes away it always knocks him for six, it's so hard on him but he continues because they need him.

dude gives off weirdo and slave owner vibes. what animal wants to be held captive. the llama has no choice but to give in because he has no choice and nowhere to go. animals have incredible senses and if they sense that you have a good heart, they’ll like you right off the bat. but like any human, if you’re forced around that person everyday there will eventually be a middle ground. it’s crazy how delusional people are that keep these big animals locked up in little spaces. these animals need acres upon acres for real freedom. but yall have been so brainwashed and believe you’re keeping it out of “harms way” when being in nature is the circle of life. being farmed is not natural at all.
@@ace464 i don't think you fully understand. it's not like he's taking these animals out of the wild so he could keep them as a pet. something tragic has happened to ALL of these animals even the dogs have a backstory to them. it's cruel asf to send an animal that's used to domestication out into the wild. that's like sending every dog back into the wild to compete with cyotes and wolves. rehabilitation is always the goal but if they can't be rereleased then someone has to keep them otherwise you'd be setting them up for failure

I was fortunate to be able to work with a rescue donkey several years ago. My mind was blown. It was not what I expected. He was so smart. I could play with him very much like a dog.
It touched 🥲 my heart how he starts to believe you and eats from your hand. You have kind heart ♥️

@@DeadGivaway Go look at his channel, the Asher House, you'll see he does ALOT more than feed the animals he rescues. He actually spent years living in an RV travelling to dofferent states and shelters walking and working with the dogs and making videos about dogs especially in need of urgent adoption to spreadbthe word, besides saving those he could manage in the RV pack and going for daily hikes. That's how he started out, and made a huge difference for overfull shelters, for dogs with special needs, or a euthanization date set bc nobody ever asked to see them. Since then he's created a one of a kind sanctuary not onky for dogs, but every kind of animal that came his way. He's outgrown this place and has now gotten a huge chunk of land closer to veterinary facilities, with great pasture, forests, and rooms for volunteers as well, enclosed and safe. His dog pack is enormous, and includes dogs young and very old, formerly abused, abandoned, special needs, all involving rehabilitation, some of them serious medical procedures, others need meds for the rest of their lives, ALL of them entirely transformed under his care and instense love.
He lives and breathes his commitment to animals. There's only a few people like him world wide I know of. I've followed him since the RV days, and can only say the challenges have been great, but Lee is greater, and it's inspiring to see what he's capable of. With all the crap in the world, people like him are RARE af and needed more than ever, for animals yes, but also for humanity.
His energy and love for his animals is so beautiful. I kept smiling throughout this video.

Lee is an amazing guy. What he has done for so many animals is unbelievable, and I’m so proud that he has built a wonder farm and started reducing more than just dogs. Donkeys, lamas, pigs, they all love him as much as his pact dogs. My very first time watching was when he rescued the little Chihuahua, and it became a foster fail. ❤
Not only is this man a beautiful human being on the inside, he’s also very beautiful on the outside. Thank you for sharing all of your love. It definitely inspires me to be a better human being. I’d love to be able to start a rescue for any and all animals and humans that need a little extra love and TLC.

Such a great guy. He considered Frankie's emotional needs as well as his physical ones by getting him some friends...given that llamas are naturally herd animals, I bet would be hard on him to live solo indefinitely...
Lee has a special gift with all a animals. I get that. I really do. There was a scared mastiff named Briggs at the shelter years ago when my daughter and I volunteered. He was so skittish they had to put him in isolation with the sick dogs because all the barking with the other dogs was too much for him. If you entered his cage he would run through the door and go outside. I went in and sat down. The vet tech working said “he won’t come to you. He is scared of people. He doesn’t even like me and I take care of him every day”. She took a dog for his checkup and came back about 15 minutes later. Briggs was laying right next to me and I was petting him. She said “How in the world did you get him to do that?!” I said,” I told him I wasn’t leaving until we were friends. They don’t call me the dog whisperer for nothin”. I called him Brig-zee. My daughter and a few others helped socialize a shepherd mix for a few weeks. She became a brand new happy trusting dog, and then got a great forever home soon after! She is now a certified vet nurse working on her BS in biology, then going to vet school!! She is a straight A student. At her animal hospital she is often requested by owners because their dog ONLY likes HER! The other day a dog was in for a visit. Every time he heard her voice in the hall outside the room he got excited and his tail was wagging. But he was giving the other vet nurse a very hard time. The owner and do tor agreed that my daughter was needed. The doc came out and said “you are the only one who can make this dog happy. Get in here” and laughed. Yep. He was sooooo happy and cooperated fully being in the arms of my Dr Doolittle daughter!!! My son is also a pet whisperer. A random loose dog was out in front of our house years ago. He said “hey. Come here. Let
Me see your tag. You aren’t supposed to be out of your yard. You could get hit by a car”. The dog walked over to him and let him look at the tag. The owner was out looking for the dog and pulled up in the car and said “how in the world did you catch him? He doesn’t like strangers!” My son, the about 12, said “I just called him over so I could look at his tag on his collar. He came right over and let
Me check his collar. Then you pulled up. “ The guy was so amazed and happy and relieved. He gave my son $20! In high school my son was at his BFF’s house every weekend. The BFF said,” ya know, it totally sucks when your dog like your friend more than he likes you” 😂 That dog wouldn’t let my son use the bathroom alone. He had to be in there with him. My dog was like that with me. (He passed last year.) He would scratch at the door. So during the day when he and I were home alone I’d go with the door open. It’s like when you have toddlers. Moms don’t get any privacy 🤣

I was lucky enough to rescue and help rehabilitate 4 massive Andalucian Donkeys. I spent everyday for 4 years with them. Slowly building their trust and just being there, hanging around them. After about 6 weeks things started to change.. And Ince they changed, the kept changing so quickly. The love and emotion the donkeys gave me was unbelievable. They helped me grow during some really tough times without me even realising it.... Looking back I now see.... Without them, I'm not sure I'd be the father and man u am today. I am so grateful to them.
