brilliant! this made me far too excited-what with the tower block windows and the walking people made of light-i was so overcome i didnt even see the bloody band appear when they dropped the covers! thanks for posting :D
@TheSllabster so true! and those huge towers started to glow, and there's been SUCH a tension! even though i had a seat i couldn't sit at all, even though everybody remained steated...i couldn't resist, i must have been about the first who actually got up! with that song!
They must release a DVD of this tour. The intro is hauntingly amazing. We saw them last night in Atlanta. Even got the set list from the sound tech (we were standing right next to those guys on the floor). Fantastic show! They rock H A R D!
This is really, REALLY cool! I didn't read the comments until after I watched the video and I thought it was actually Muse, not a cover! Good job, this is going on my ipod!
@MizzeeOH I saw them in April at Oakland as well and I'm going to go see them again at Sacramento. I really can't wait for this. Seems like September is taking it's sweet time to get here. Did you get GA tickets?? I'm loving this track so much, brings me memories of me waiting for Muse to come out, while going absolutely mental and screaming=D
@manco82 From about 1:40 onwards, there's a slowed down version of the Uprising synth. The arpeggios also match the melody of the guitar during the verses and choruses.
Damn you studio machine :'( It could have been perfect if it hadn't screwed things up. Anyway it's still amazing and I listen to it non-stop in my mp3. Even though I can't help wincing every time the robotic woman speaks ;) Seriously, it's the best cover on youtube, thanks a lot for uploading.
This intro was just fantistic, I saw them in Lisbon and it felt my heart was going to explode and you get that overwhelming sensation, like, "damn it's starting, oh snap!"
I STILL get chills we listening to this and it just takes me back to my first muse gig =) and reminds me of how I get to here it again in 51 days!!!!!!!!!
This intro is so magnificent at getting people in the mood for the concert. :D Even alone it's just.... epic. My first Muse concert was relatively recent, the Oakland one April 14th (WOO!) and I hadn't heard this before that, so it came as a surprise to me. I remember just getting the chills and being mystified by the visuals of the silhouettes on the towers, falling.... I'm going to see them again this September in Sacramento, the 28th. I cannot wait. :D WOO MUSE!!!
@Myworld1916 they wrote this specifically for the tour. it's not on the album yet. knowing muse, though, it should be on the next edition of this album after the tour is over.
@mrsjamac I agree with you so much! (sadly), I havent went to any of their concerts yet, but if they come to Norway, I'll go. And yes, they're amazingly good, especially live ;D
great job!! i absolutely love that intro, heard it live in cologne, and i am convinced it would have been awesome on the album! but i still just understand 'we are the universe' *mumble mumble* 'we are the universe' :DD
Yea, great job man. I'm in a Muse cover band and we are playing We are the Universe as we enter the stage for our upcoming show :D! We have the real version though.. if we didnt we'd probably use this!
@SeleneMT I know, still so far away! :( And I did not get GA tickets, no. Mostly because I'm going with someone else who doesn't want GA, so the next time I go to a concert of theirs I probably will. :D Which song at the Oakland concert was your favorite performance? I personally LOVED Starlight, United States of Eurasia and New Born. Those were epic performances. :D I cannot wait to see them again. :D
Well a music major is a person who's profession is music or the career he or her wants to do. Anyway, I think that's great that you have that ability to listen and play the song just by listening. That's what I want to be a musician and make music like muse, have you ever try to make a band? I think you would do really well.
@L0ngfellow9 So was I. Even just walking in I was shaking. At least it was March so it was a bit chilly so I could just blame it on that if anyone asked. But damn, they are fabulous live.
@JuneMuse08 And still they won't release an official version. I believe it should've been in the ALBUM even... We Are The Universe just gives me goosbumps, jesus.
i was fuckin shaking in the knees when i went to see them the first time while i was waiting outside the arena... that was outside in broad daylight hours before even the openers would play... this song just bent me over and took my childhood innocence away from me.
@09milliemunchkin90 "We are the universe, observing itself, observing itself. We are the universe, observing itself, observing itself. We are the universe, observing itself, observing itself. We are the universe, destroying itself, destroying itself. destroying, itself "
@bananarama2208 It completely blows your mind, believe me. I saw them at Wembley on the 9th September, and have been completely obsessed with them ever since.....they changed my life, seriously. And the sound completely awesome live...
Wow I've been looking for this for ages! You're great. There's just one thing, you said you got the vocal samples from dmorgantube, but I noticed you speeded them up, especially in the " ... itself" parts; hence my suggestion that THE perfect studio version would be your instrumental cover + the original dmorgantube's vocal samples, a bit more high-pitched though. If you still have the separate tracks in your computer, could you PLEASE try that? Thanks beforehand :)
When I was waiting for Muse to start, I was hoping nobody in front of me would stand so I could stay sitting, but when this got going I just had to get up.
Lights off everyone cheers like heaven and uprising begins aaaah ....too F"?$:$ing bad i had to share this moment of epicness with a stadium filled with Twilight fans and people who didn't even knew one f"(&((&:@&;ing song from the best bad ever. On that note. All Hail To You Lord Bellamy!
I was there when Muse started their Resistance tour at Helsinki. On the second row, in the middle, I stood quietly when this intro began like an approaching thunderstorm. 12 000 people started to make noise at the same time. I can remember myself standing transfixed listening and after many days I was still able to hear it in my head. Yes, this is God's theme song.
matts knows that arpeggios are really powerful and i am glad cause you can make epic songs with them
I didn't know this is a fan cover for 8 years. Beautiful as space horror hell!
This sounds so genuine that I thought a few years ago that it was an official song! It is truly amazing !
hearing this again gives me chills down my spine and a small portion of the feelings I had six weeks ago at the muse concert i went to
Definitely a moment to live for...those few minutes before are to die for!
Its perfect.
Holy crap, a DVD of this tour would be INCREDIBLE. The graphics on Exogenesis...seriously, wow. And I love, love this intro.
brilliant!
this made me far too excited-what with the tower block windows and the walking people made of light-i was so overcome i didnt even see the bloody band appear when they dropped the covers!

I have looked for this for a long time! Thanks for putting this up here!
this go's along with your heart beat at that moment before they come on and your all excited, this is just amazing!
@MizzeeOH I saw them in April at Oakland as well and I'm going to go see them again at Sacramento. I really can't wait for this. Seems like September is taking it's sweet time to get here. Did you get GA tickets??

....This is incredible!!!!!!!! I thought it was the real thing until i read the comments!!!! Brilliant work, sir!!!
Three years after the concert and I still get chills down my spine when I hear this
@manco82 From about 1:40 onwards, there's a slowed down version of the Uprising synth. The arpeggios also match the melody of the guitar during the verses and choruses.
I have to agree with you man!
This Intro is just so epic; one of the best I've ever heard. MUSE, use this for WEMBLEY!
Damn you studio machine :'(
It could have been perfect if it hadn't screwed things up.
Anyway it's still amazing and I listen to it non-stop in my mp3. Even though I can't help wincing every time the robotic woman speaks ;)

THANK YOU FOR THIS! this intro has been playing in my head since i saw them in helsinki on october! Great job!
I STILL get chills we listening to this and it just takes me back to my first muse gig =) and reminds me of how I get to here it again in 51 days!!!!!!!!!
Oh! What the hell, is really a cover? is so GREAT, congratulations Man! ;)

This is truly awesome! I saw them at the 02 in November they used it!
Yeah this takes me back to the concert, waiting for them to come on and the climbing stairs thing :)
@Myworld1916
they wrote this specifically for the tour. it's not on the album yet. knowing muse, though, it should be on the next edition of this album after the tour is over.
this is effing AMAZING!!!! These guys are my heroes! honestly.
@mrsjamac I agree with you so much! (sadly), I havent went to any of their concerts yet, but if they come to Norway, I'll go. And yes, they're amazingly good, especially live ;D
amazing! This was one of the best parts of the concert, just because I was so damn excited. :p
'o' Wow, this is epic... Just belongs as an intro/interlude on the next album, that i would really love. "We are The Universe"....
On the run Pink Floyd's vibes... amazing!
I absolutely love this. Great job.
great job!! i absolutely love that intro, heard it live in cologne, and i am convinced it would have been awesome on the album! but i still just understand 'we are the universe' *mumble mumble* 'we are the universe' :DD
This is now in my iTunes as track 1 on The Resistance.
:D
@MizzeeOH Oakland was my first Muse concert too! :D
Your arrangement? Oh my god, this is perfect.
@Snatchers92 Listening to this gets me all psyched up too, only because I first heard it at the concert in '09
this is too awesome for words..
@CoralLidor actually if you listen carefully it;s Uprising, the same notes and chords, but played very slowly
i never get tired of this haha awesome video
@JackJohnson6010 The last verse is "Destroying itself" but the first verse is "observing"
Yea, great job man.
I'm in a Muse cover band and we are playing We are the Universe as we enter the stage for our upcoming show :D!
We have the real version though.. if we didnt we'd probably use this!
can't to see muse this september
already got tickets!
Epic, shivering music, makes you so excited a the start of the concert :D
Nice cover i think it took a lot of time and effort to recreate this, thanks for the time
the beat of the backing drums in this intro matches the heart beat dosent it! Seeing them march 1st!
@SeleneMT
I know, still so far away! :(
And I did not get GA tickets, no. Mostly because I'm going with someone else who doesn't want GA, so the next time I go to a concert of theirs I probably will. :D
Which song at the Oakland concert was your favorite performance? I personally LOVED Starlight, United States of Eurasia and New Born. Those were epic performances. :D I cannot wait to see them again. :D
I hear the same thing, and considering that during the opening of their Resistance tour, this song was followed by Uprising, it makes sense.
Saw them at the palace of alburn hills in Michigan on the 13th they were amzing best concert ever!!!!!!!! X50
Well a music major is a person who's profession is music or the career he or her wants to do. Anyway, I think that's great that you have that ability to listen and play the song just by listening. That's what I want to be a musician and make music like muse, have you ever try to make a band? I think you would do really well.
Saw them last Tuesday it was awesome seeing people falling!!! they should re-release the resistance and make this their first track
@L0ngfellow9 So was I. Even just walking in I was shaking. At least it was March so it was a bit chilly so I could just blame it on that if anyone asked. But damn, they are fabulous live.
I'm allmost crying when I hear their songs home, think what's going to happen if I would hear them live ?!
ooh, very good :) agreed that the vocals need to be a bit louder, but other than that, it's great :)
aww thank you sooo much, i knew it was something like that, saw them at glasgow 9/11 and was like OMG the whole way through it haha,
thanks a lott
Currently my favourite tune!
wow you did this? you're awesome!
YES! When I saw Watchmen for the first time, all I could think about was Muse and Take a Bow!
@JuneMuse08 And still they won't release an official version. I believe it should've been in the ALBUM even... We Are The Universe just gives me goosbumps, jesus.
This is fucking badass! Well done! Sends shivers down my spine.
chills like nothing else..
i was fuckin shaking in the knees when i went to see them the first time while i was waiting outside the arena... that was outside in broad daylight hours before even the openers would play... this song just bent me over and took my childhood innocence away from me.
Matthew, stop being so epic!
@09milliemunchkin90 "We are the universe, observing itself, observing itself. We are the universe, observing itself, observing itself. We are the universe, observing itself, observing itself. We are the universe, destroying itself, destroying itself. destroying, itself "
Awesome! I love Muse!
I freakin love this inro :D
@bananarama2208 It completely blows your mind, believe me. I saw them at Wembley on the 9th September, and have been completely obsessed with them ever since.....they changed my life, seriously. And the sound completely awesome live...
the chords are just sampled from uprising, works so well though, especially before uprising!
Awesome !! Nice cover !
Wow I've been looking for this for ages! You're great.

i hope they play this in the states.
Amazing job!
yep. I cannot wait!!!!!!
Thank you for the download!!!
@Exogenesys I think it says "We, are, the universe - I'm sorry, it's over." instead off observing itself. (?) :P but cool anyway ^^

Yes, this is God's theme song.
@rzNeedsABmw It's like apocalypse please meets uprising meets take a bow. It has the electronic-ness that take a bow has I think :)
@KamelFilms Same!

RESPECT!
We. Are. The. Universe. Observing itself. :) Trippy.
