Oh my goodness, it was the best transformation, EVER!
This is a shortened version of the original show, which shows the householders being shown the footprint and how they used it. Then a discussion of what to change and one of the participants is always doubtful, then halfway through she gets in involved in going more bold rather than just neutral.
Preferred the old kitchen, but the ensuite bathroom with the flint wall is fabulous.

Huge kitchen with a view to the garden and space for gathering with family and guests. But the massive TV on the wall tells the real story of how they live.
I really like the color palettes used. Bathroom has lovely taste though I miss the conservatory.

Love the bedroom side, the kitchen not so much. I think a more homey kitchen might have been more in keeping with the style. The bedroom's colors were awesome, the kitchen is too grey. I don't know about the little cactus on the toilet, lol.

Too bad this doesn't show the before and after floorplans. Layout might be better, but most of the decor is hohum. Bath looks pretty good.

The narrator sounds displeased.
The UK seems to have had poor design in the past with all the tiny rooms and doors to each room. Very oppressive.
All that matters is they like it, but I think it is AWFUL!
I agree. Totally lost the spirit and typical charm of the cottage, especially the gorgeous porch and the stone-paved conservatory. I understand why they wanted and needed the changes, but all I see now is the cottage's shell. Might as well have bought a brand new house...

The bathroom redo is beautiful. Think I'd be afraid of brushing the flint with my arm.
The layout may now work, but decor is not quite right.
The new external entry isn't exactly convincing me that it fits. They should have tried to reuse the old windows. They lost a lot of charm. The bedroom has the wallpaper on the wrong wall. The tile in the entry is too dark and the gold chair stands out like a sore thumb. The kitchen itself looks a bit crammed. The dining bench should have a back. Too much focus in all the wrong places, the effect is jarring.
@@b_uppy I agree entirely! My problem with the redo of the bathroom is that it's been built in this dreadful brick extension that ruins the whole building from outside as well... So, so sad!

I hate these under ten minute half assed shows. The British are experts at this forgetting that the rest is the world cannot afford to buy the stupid channels so that we can actually see the full episodes. So sad
