@@mahanrazagh as the public move away from Islamic tenants, the nation will become more secular; Just as it happened in Europe in over 400 years. In Iran, this process has taken over 100 years as Iran's first experience with democracy, ahead of most Europeans, occurred in 1904. This is why there are so many demonstrations in Iran while the rest of the region is dead quiet. Iran has a vibrant society AND, more importantly, the society can fall back on 45 years of continuous electoral process, a legacy of the revolution.
@pouyabahrami7669 45 years election process means legacy?!! All dictators have had elections more than that. Don't twist the subject with history. Are people in Iran are free to choose their ideal candidate?!!
@@mahanrazagh Their ideal candidate or yours?! Sometimes the urgency to get rid of the mullahs seems to trample over what's under the hood; Even in the worst elections, about 50% of the population have participated for a reason, where voting is not compulsory. The fact that another 50% CHOOSE avoiding the same vote all together, is also democratic on its own merit; When you would like to pretend they are a single-man "dictatorship." The reality is that each nation must march its own path toward forming their particular democratic process. We all know "installing democracy" has failed. Iran is abundantly ahead of its neighbors; it has a higher educated population than the US and 96% Healthcare coverage with the only national Healthcare system in the region with the exception of Israel. Moreover, the population will never accept any governance that is NOT based on an electoral system after the mullahs are gone because of the legacy of the revolution. Those are the reasons why Iran is the region's most dominant nation; AndThe only indigenous nuclear power, the only indigenous space program, and it technology has changed calculations from Kyev to Beirut, and even Ethiopia and Sudan. There are reason's why "maximum pressure" and sanctions failed and Iran still produced 650k indigenous cars per year. You can't find those numbers in Cuba, you won't find them in the Saudis, nor any of Iran's neighbors. They don't even know what a vote is. Let me remind you that Iran resuscitated and brought back to life the entire Venezuelan oil industry. Such progress cannot be thwarted and it will overwhelm the mullahs. We already see plenty signs to that effect.

1953, the democratically elected and popular Prime Minister Mossadegh was ousted via Operation Ajax. Sent to an "exile" within his own hometown, never allowed to leave again. @@Bozlee22 No exactly, the Communists took over Iran, then the Brits and the French backed the return of Khomeini to overthrow the Communists. And it worked.
The true sentiment of the Iranian people, particularly those now suffering under U.S.-imposed sanctions, stemmed from their perception of the Shah as weak. He was seen as a symbol of foreign influence, aligning too closely with Western powers and their values. In contrast, Ayatollah Khomeini was viewed as a more authentic representation of the nation’s identity-stronger, wiser, and having earned his authority. His leadership resonated with the people, who embraced his influence as a return to Iran’s deeper cultural and religious roots.

I don't even blame them... At least heavy handed suppressors of societies have fairly consistent rules, even if they remind you of them with a stick or a rifle butt... But at least they don't change genders throughout the day & spare their plebs any woke talk...
I'm still contemplating on how forcing democracy on people is actually democracy? It sounds contradictory to the values of democracy... Thus democracy should be fully implemented by the majority of the citizens not forcibly by a foreign government that just wants more control/influence in the region... Hence why the US's forceful attempts to implement the US's version of democracy in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen,...etc all failed and collapsed immediately because the citizens unanimously were not happy nor wanted the US version of democracy... Voting for political parties and leaders is something every country in the region already has and does including Iran... And technically at the bottom line is no different than the US system of democracy/voting system the only difference is the US is not technically trying to bring democracy but rather bring the US's values/culture/influence... So the local government will in return be subservient to the US government and support it's agendas... So thus the US doesn't really want or care about bringing democracy to the region it just wants a government that is enslaved to its foreign affairs and won't say no or put up a fight...

Ya! Tel me your opinion about democracy in Iran, though.

Their ideal candidate or yours?!

The Shah was already in place when Mossadeq became prime minister, in fact the Shah had to approve the prime minister and had constitutional power to remove the prime minister, so Iran was never a real democracy. The Shah removed Mossadeq with 1 letter a coup wasn’t needed. The rest is spot on.

If you show up at the Iranians door with DEI, CRT, and gender theory they'll run to the mullahs rather than depose them.
Stop spouting republican boogeyman rhetoric
