Tiny wee man with magic in his feet and the heart of a lion. Had to endure tackling the likes of which no modern player endures. Played on gluepots. Immortal wee Jinky. RIP.
I was a regular at Leeds in the glory days of 65 to 75ish, and have never seen them pulled apart as much as when they played Celtic around 1970, and jimmy was the key man. Unbelievably great player.

Saw his whole career and he was never better than in a Wednesday night old firm League Cup section game in, I think, 1970. It was 0-0 so the game is forgotten but the wee man tore Rangers apart for 90 mins. I'll never forget the conversations, all about Jinky, in the Black Bull after the game. Immortal.
Scottish players that were world class: Jinky, Dalglish, Souness, Law, Jim Baxter (briefly), Danny McGrain. Cooper was brilliant in patches but not quite world class.
