That is definitely genius! I work at a craft store so I'm always looking at the different silicone molds we have so I could try to do something out of the box like you just did. I love how they turned out! So cute!!
I love the purple glitter color on the second pop. And the pink and green looked like a popsicle. You could use white Elmers glue at the outside of the mold and it will just peel off. Great o ideas!! 💡 🌷

They turned out GREAT! Just an idea but to make them even more realistic, you could cut your sticks before and put the cut end in so the stick is proportional. Really nice 😊

How fun. I bought cake molds to try. I made keychains out of them, but they’re really little cake molds. The cake molds are cheaper in the long run to buy. The is so cute you are making.

A suggestion about the leaking sticks - maybe add a drop of the glue to the resin first, or wait until the resin becomes tacky and thicker before pushing them in?

Hi Michelle! Those turned out adorable. The orange/lime is my favorite! I love bright colors and sparkle lol You are always so creative! I saw someone else commented about the sticks. I was also thinking maybe because they were inserted further in two than the other that maybe the sticks displaced a bit more resin and thus making it fuller with less resin than the other two? I think it might be fun to do a video and just explore the house and see what can be used as a mold lol Who knows what you'd find!
I actually used different mixing cups I think that was the difference 🥴

So adorable! My idea would be once cured put the cakesicles in some foam/polystyrene so they stand upright & add cornflour (cornstarch) to your resin & do the ‘drips’ like you would on a tumbler.

I think the best one is the sherbet one because it’s the same color on both sides. I guess I would think about that if you make more having them uniform all the way around, but they turned out adorable, and would make a nice favors for any party.

These are cute, put them with the Cake Box and have a dessert bar! And Michelle, I was screaming in my head a couple of times, the 1st is why not seal the stick hole on the outside instead of the inside so you do not see the glue at all because it will peel off when you pull the stick through? 2nd was the vanilla and chocolate, vanilla at the top and chocolate at the bottom like you did the glitter one. Your new Hand Painted resin is going to give you the drizzle and drips that you want. Sprinkles...where are the sprinkles🎉

Uv resin will work. Put the stick in and use a small amount of UV and crue it. Then use ur regular resin.

It is so important for me being a newbie.i did notice that the 2 that didn't hold quite an once, the sick was much shorter inside the pop? Maybe that's why they would've held a bit more than the first ones that you did with the black backing? I'm just guessing here.
I used a different measuring cup for those two, I’m pretty sure that was the difference 🥴

It gives that drizzle , stringy look to it. You could use that as your drizzle too. I love the idea of making them magnets & they do look real. ❤ What about using pens as the sticks & have a pen cake Popsicle. So many cute possibilities. Thanks for sharing. Cute idea. Would just putting the clear glue in each to thicken the resin help with leaking, too? You don't have to reserve that hack just for glitter.

I'm French and a big fan of your videos, even if it's 3 a.m. here I always look forward to your videos 😊 I've noticed for some time that you mix "glue" with your resin to prevent glitter , flakes, and other light decorations do not remain at the bottom of the mold. what type of glue do you use please and have you made an explanatory video because I would really like to learn this technique lol 😊😊😊 thank you again for all your original ideas (I loved the pear-shaped pot with the corn and I'm completely gaga for the apple with the spikkles), your good humor and your great advice. Michelle did do a video about 2 weeks back. It's a technique she had seen Daniel Cooper explain. She's using plain clear Elmer's glue.

QUESTION: Im still some what new to your channel and the other day i was bindge watching your older videos and you said you do a lot of things other then resin stuff! I dont remember them all but like cake maker cookie maker and some other stuff! So my question is.. Do you have another channel or are you on any other platforms with content from all that other arts and craft stuff you do? Bc I would love to see your cake making skills! Lol Honestly i would just love to see how you do all your other arts and craft stuff thats non resin related! Or do tou not record those other things?? I love how these resin ice creams turned out!! Way back at the beginning of my UA-cam start I was “testing the waters” to see what people were interested in. So I do have a handful of cake decorating videos in the beginning (still there). Short answer is no, I only have the one channel. Resin seems to be the most popular so I went in that direction with my channel. There is no way for me to keep two channels going by myself unfortunately. If you’d like to learn some low carb recipes I did a bunch of Facebook lives on my FB bakery page called Sweets N’ Sprinkles, those videos are still on that page under the video tab.

Here is an idea, I have a ton of the plastic chocolate molds from my cake decorating days and I experimented and figured out if you use petroleum jelly as a mold release they work great as resin molds. What do you think?
