The message here is that the Turkish soldiers are so focused on their duty to protect the borders that they do not even blink their ideas in order not to miss even the slightest signal of threat that might come from the other side. Even if you just "look", Turkish soldiers are aware that you do. This is mainly because Turkish soldiers do not trust any other nation/force to protect their borders. There were examples in the past when UN forces did not do their job and the results were disastrous. That is why, they take their job extremely seriously.

They are United Nations soldiers. They are placed between Greek and Turk sides. Journalist from Netherland goes there to look the situation.
1.Greek soldiers isn't doing their jobs. (Actually they don't need to, because UN is there to protect them.)
2. Turks doing their jobs and they are dead serious. They are watching UN soldiers 7/24 nonstop. The pressure of this watching, makes UN soldiers stressful.
"I think we shouldn't provoke them more."
I read under some other video, Turk soldiers doesn't even take their greetings. I mean, when someone says "Hello!" from Greek side (it could be Greek, Greek lover journalist, or a trader) no Turkish responds with "Hi!". Just silence.
I would do the same since they deserved all of it, 1963 Bloody Christmas isn't forgotten here...

Look man. The soldiers the Dutch journalist speaks to are United Nations soldiers. The journalist first looks at the Greek border but cannot see any soldiers there. Then he looks at the Turkish border and meets the eye with the Turkish soldier looking at him. That's all it takes.
Let me be clear for those who don't understand.This journalist goes to Cyprus and they check the two borders with the United Nations soldiers on the border.When he look at the Greek border, he don't see anyone, they are not keeping guard.But when you look at the Turkish border, the soldiers there also look at journalists and United Nations soldiers.So they are constantly on guard.And then when the journalist asked if they would call you, the United Nations soldiers said he won't but the him commander will. When the journalist asked if he had to apologize, the United Nations soldiers said probably yes. And as far as I know, one of the Turkish commanders is calling to United Nations soldiers.
Yes, it is a buffer zone between northern and southern Cyprus, and united nations soldiers are on guard. There is the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on the northern sides and the Southern Cyprus section on the south.

There are UN soldiers between North Cyprus Turk Republic (Turkish) and South Cyprus republic (Greek), this journalist visited the UN zone, and checked both side soldiers of guard, he did not see anyone from Greek side, and Journalist asking to UN soldier "Can I look Turkish side too ? " first he did not recommend it, and than he said "Ok. you can look", journalist saw the Turkish guards follow him and he said " Waaww he is looking at me" and worry about this behavior, UN soldier saying " we must apologize from Turkish commander " ..... bla bla and finished, Turkish soldiers always ready for everything, Turkish soldiers never sleep, never hungry, never leave from mission area, Because we are Turkish ! :)))
Actually this video is recorded in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Turkey and TRNC are not the same countries but they are like mother and son. So the soldiers that the journalist saw are Turkish Cypriot Soldiers. Please make a correction about the header of the video.
