Can’t help but think the sacking was bungled. They could have come up with a planned departure for stability of the playing group. What good players will want to stay or come to WC with the rabble they have become. They will come good but it will take a lot longer than what people commonly believe.
As a eagles member and frequent afl media consumer, I don’t necessarily agree with everything that Hammer says. But I enjoy his opinion and he’s become or if not already the best part of the podcast with his insight. Well done lads

I dont mind getting gaffy to 300. Its bloody hard to get there, especially for wa players. 3 games as the sub, including the last home game so fans can pay respects isnt going to affect our youth development since the sub is crap for developing players
Was it really what constitutes “a clip” what Simpson did? I don’t think so. All he said was they had written 300 articles about him and that they could be cruel and to remember everyone’s human. That’s not a harsh criticism that’s a plea.
I agree. They asked a question about when he was in trouble and said probably after the 300th article. Half a joke, but making a point I reckon the West had the front page well sorted in advance. Clearly the graphics were good, it was a creative idea and all the L and W in the right places. That's not done in a few hours or even a day. So glad Simmo got in first and made his observation. 3 years of photoshopping politicians and footballers made it obvious what The West would do. Its only missing the page 3 girls to complete the trashiness.

@@Documentts What mean words? He was asked when he thought he was in trouble? He responded after the 300th article by Woodcock (the writer). It was good to have a bit of humour. But as you should know, its the paper doing the childish articles, photoshopping and headlines are the editors and subeditors. Certainly the writers misquoted him for 3 years and wrote attack articles. But its the editors that need a please explain.

The newspapers have become trash over a number of years with mocking headlines, photoshopped heads on animal bodies etc. Calling players, coaches, politicians or whoever, stupid and dumb... all about humiliation. Will Schofield made a great comment. The next thing the West paper will do is show a picture of Adam Simpson in bathers on holidays and then run a front page mocking his dad bod.

Will Andy Brayshaw leave Freo? Depends on how close to a premiership but also on what his aspirations are after footy. Will he move back to Melbourne to live there long term considering he grew up there? Also what are his aspirations. Does he aspire to be a coach (if so more likely to stay) or to move into business in Melbourne (he'd need to move now to get the networking sorted before retirement). But what would I know.
No chance bro, he's there long term.
@@thequartersfooty if they are successful then he'll probably stay. If he works in footy industry long term then he may as well stay. But if he is entering the corporate world and he is intending to live in Melb when retired, then he may leave. Fact is that both him and his partner are from Melbourne. If he is planning to return to Melb post retirement, then he may as well do it while playing at his peak. Imagine the opportunities he'd get if he moved to a big Melb club.
Don Pyke talks about good relationships with the press, including The West. When will The West photoshop Don's head on a donkey. (don key pyke). That will test his patience. After a few bad matches in a row the paper has returned to nasty, vindictive, shallow attacks again. All season we've had people stupidly photoshopped. Their photoshopping of people on front and back page is so pathetic and trashy.
I do wish you guys would cut down on the bad language, especially Hammer, every fourth word is the F word. This is a public forum and kids do watch it, I am sure.
