The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hosted a webinar on the Health Level Seven International® (HL7®) Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® (FHIR®) standard to highlight the adoption of the next generation exchange framework by the healthcare community to advance interoperability. CMS is exploring FHIR’s potential use in quality measurement and how it can provide a means for representing and sharing standardized information among clinicians and organizations.
