Rip Dickey Betts. Now there was a story teller 👍👍👀🎸

Wow I mean come on guys if that doesn't explain it in terms that are easily understood. A analogy that ends the story on how to, and closes the book but then invites you to now write your own story. A fantastic idea, lesson and teacher. In addition the solos got me rocking in my chair.
    Thank you Sir,
Illuminated and inspired. Having watched this video, now another piece of the puzzle drops into place. In a word AWSOME!

I like the cut of your jib. Much more colorful and flowing than a dull draining lesson

The channel that started it all… Thank you so much Stich for everything you give, you started me out on my guitar journey 2 years ago and it is now an obsession. It is such a big part of my life now and I dare to say I’ve even gotten good. Your lessons gave me the best foundation I could ask for and I STILL come back here because there is always some good advice. Anyone who is questioning it right now: buy the paterson lessons because they are worth it.

This is one of the few videos I think where I've actually got to hear you kinda just play while also teaching something and it's great (with the eyes closed too :D). That SG has a nice quack going with the tone. My favorite example of a song with a story, and probably just my favorite recording, is The Music Never Stopped from Dicks Picks 18 by the Grateful Dead -- all of these themes are explored in Jerry's soloing on that one. Great video, thanks.

This is great advice for sure - love it. One thing I do while playing live is watching the audience interact and try to tell their story with the patterns in my solos. Ie Movements - Dancing - Booty shaking - things like that. I find it gives life to the music. Keep sharing all these good tips - I know we all love them. Cheers!

The Disco Biscuits are really good at applying this to every song
Phish are really good at applying this to the entire set

Wow dude! That is a great lesson! You have a great way of teaching. I bought your Blues Master Class part one about a month ago and I'm loving it. It has really made a difference. I look forward to getting into part two in about two months time. Thank you so much for shedding light on all of this for me. It has made a huge difference in my life. Peace and love.

@@b3pahunter546 ahhh. That’s what I get for only paying attention to vintage inspired gibsons lol. I like the flamed maple top on an SG with the standard sort of appointment rather than something overboard like a supreme
