SMAXZO Masato from Hades Project Zeorymer has a worse history than shinji and hes not a girly emo, shinji should be glad his father give him a mobile suit to fight aliens, even if its not a Gundam.
In other words, you can name a lot of anime characters that has worse history than Shinji...and is well adjusted or outright ballsy than Shinji.

It's weird how community's have sprung up from what used to be a necessity, or the only option. Like how there's this kind of stuff but then there's also people who still use records and stuff like that, even though they're inarguably worse mediums/formats. Anyways, I just think it's weird.
