NDA stands for non-disclosure agreement. As in, you are agreeing not to disclose certain things. If Lawrence agreed to an NDA, he wouldn't be able to live stream this footage or upload it to UA-cam.
Some QA testers get access to special builds of the game called Evocati builds, and they sign an NDA. Normal players just get a standard Early Access disclosure acknowledgement. Every Early Access game on Steam has a similar disclosure on their store page.
There's lots of weird things that Star Citizen does but this aspect is perfectly standard

I've been watching Lawrence for well over a decade, across different channels. His laugh throughout the whole video was genuine. Maybe you should try getting friends sometime. It could really help improve your outlook. For the record, I loved watching this stream.
