I really love watching Martin's videos when I've had a bad day. I really love watching Martin's videos when I have a good day. I just like Martin's videos. Keep fighting the good fight brother.
Thank you Layne, we're glad you are enjoying the videos! We appreciate your interest.
Thank you for your love and dedication to these animals. You and your wife make our world a better place.
So inspiring the heroic work you do saving these magnificent birds !
I pinkie swear...when I am successful and have enough financial support I will do everything I can to help your organization. You inspire me to get up and help me help myself so I can help others do the same for my chosen path. Thank you. God bless you & your family. 🦋
Thank you Alicia, we appreciate your interest and support! Just watching our videos and spearking the works helps plenty too!
Thank you for your excellent stewardship of these precious creatures in our world.
What a magnificent young eagle; thanks for letting us watch!! He will no doubt live a long, happy life now, because of your efforts, with God's help... In a couple of years, he will help raise more beautiful eagles for years... Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah, saving countless generations - one eagle at a time! I'm kind of glad nobody was ready to help release this bird. It seems right that you should be the last person on earth to touch that eagle.
Hi Fran, thanks for watching. It is a lot easier on Martin to release a bird without a crowd. But better for the birds if others are around to learn and enjoy too. There is a release this Sunday, we're hoping for plenty of people.
I had the pleasure of seeing two of these beautiful golden eagles two days ago! They flew up out of the ditch as I was driving and I was able to watch them for a few seconds! This is in rural Nebraska!
Wonderful work you two perform. I signed up form Amazon's Smile program this week. I hope it helps. I am encouraging others to do the same. God bless you.
The first thought that went through my head was that dude has lots of fight in him and is a survivor! I think he well be just fine thanks to your help.
Hi again! Oh my a wind turbine! I never would have thought. To nurse him back to health must have been quite a journey all those months. I share such reward of joy and satisfaction knowing you've been part of continuing their life's journey. Yours with your birds myself with dogs and horses. All of the learning study and hands on experience plus alot of love and care come together in that incredible moment knowing they're ready to live once more. You're very humble regarding all that you say and do but there are some of us who do what we do for nothing more then the privilege. 4 out of 4 now we're on a roll! Thx so.much for sharing. Til next time...
So glad you are enjoying are vids! Critters don't say thank you, which is quite all right.
Thank you so much Bob I always get a little choked up when seeing a wild bird released back into the wild.☺
We need people like you in this world to save these beautiful and magnificent creatures.
Thanks for sharing this video, interesting bird.
Scout from the cage a few blocks down every time he calls another eagle his boy or girl: "I THOUGHT I WAS YOUR BOY?!"
All jokes aside I super appreciate this channel. I've never learned more about eagles than from this foundation. Its incredible to see how big those eagles actually are! A documentary does NOT do them justice. Thank you for sharing all of your rescue and releases, you do such beautiful work with these gorgeous animals. This one was quite the watch, I'm glad to be apart of the view, even if its from far away.
Every hawk, eagle, owl and falcon in Southern Utah are Martin's kids! Thanks for your kind words, another release this Sunday!
Every time I saw martin hold the eagle I feel scared.. may our HEAVENLY GOD bless you always for all your advocacy...
He's been working with the critters over 50 years, still has all his fingers and toes!
That one sure was ready to go. And he did not like Martin at all 😆. I loved the sound of his wings flapping as he took off, such a peaceful sound 😌
i like the release bit the best . neat to see a eagle back in the wild.
Amazing eagle. and amazing work. I have been following your channel, as you know, but I have only just seen this video. Just brilliant to see them fly free again.👍
Here is a thought:
Maybe some of the birds get angry because you're releasing them.
When you had them, they were thinking, "wow this is fab, no more hunting for food and a nice wee cosey house to live in". Then when you bring them out for release they think, "Hey, hold on a minute, put me back in my wee house with all that free food and that butler who brings it every day, plus all the free medical care. So come on buddy, get me back into the house, NOW! LOL😁
It does almost seem like that except that wild animals can hurt themselves in captivity. If you haven't see it, you might find a mule deer video of interest. Martin shows where the deer injured himself from captivity and the stress he felt: ua-cam.com/video/g6f0UkZ_CsA/v-deo.html
What a nice friend that all he wants to do is bite you! Awesome release.
This is how I expected a wild animal to behave, really trying to get a good bite, squirming, attempting to claw. He was ready! This was a beautiful recording!
At 5:54, when that foot closed like that...
Gee wiz; that actually gave me a pretty good idea of how powerful those feet are. I could practically feel the power behind them as they snapped closed. It's crazy to me that they are so powerful without being seemingly covered in muscle...
Majestic !!!
Does Sue ever release eagles ?
Thank you for your magnificent work and education
Susan isn't a big fan of handling of the big birds. She does sometimes when needed though. She's released Owls and plenty of other birds.
People have no idea the terrible things wind turbines do to all types of birds, especially Eagles. I think more needs to be done to educate people on the dangers of wind turbines and we all need to focus on sticking with our overpriced traditional electric power options until more research can be done into other "safe" power alternatives. Thank you for all you do for our Eagles! Wonderful story of healing for this majestic Golden😄
Thanks for your interest and concerns, TS. We've got a video coming up where Martin talks more about threats to Eagles.
Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah - Look forward to that. You are all great people🇺🇸
Those dang turbines are hurting a lot of birds. From my understanding they leave more of a carbon footprint than they save in energy. I personally don't like them. Isn't funny how if there is an oil spill they're all over the oil companies. But they turn a blind eye to the amount of birds being killed or injured. That one just irks me. They need to quit putting those in the migratory paths. The harmonics of those things make people sick too. But they're great they say. Hmph.
theunruhs1 - you're absolutely right and such a good point. An oil spill and everyone is there to help the birds and they let turbines slice through them daily. It's pretty awful if you ask me and I wish more people would understand how detrimental they are to our innocent birds who just lose their lives for flying the wrong way. Very sad.
Is it possible that you haven't been bitten of hit with talons in all these rescues? It must be amazing to rehab these and see their release back to nature
Are you still catching up on your videos this is one beautiful video watching you turn that big boy loose after healing him back from his accident God is truly blessed you and your family with what you do and you return the favor by blessing all of us by letting us watch you do your work thank you very much for sharing be safe
Hi Ernest, thanks for checking out more of our videos! Releases are the best part for sure!
Flounder & BBQ lol
Disgrace Englands lost 70 percent of wildife insects if not for Real Heroes and the public the number would be higher Thankyou for caring enough to save these beautiful birds
So I've noticed that when you drive by a dead carcass on the side of the road. The eagles fly away because they hear the noise of the car so why don't they put whistles on the blades of the windmills so the eagles hear The blade coming and get out of the way before it hits them??
These aren't pets. You do not treat them as such! This work is so needed and appreciated by so many, I being one of them. What I would like to see is a change in our laws to make it possible to band every raptor that is injured and released. Is there a reason for this law that prohibits banding? And when (I refuse to accept just an "if") we regain a government that actually is concerned with our environment, is there anything that can be done to not just legalize banding, but to require it?
Hi Jay, thank you for your interest and concerns. The politics and policies are quite a quagmire. We do our best to help the critters and educate as many people as we can.
Do they go back to where they came from?
That is the hope. Once healthy again, they are best off back in the wild.
No matter what humans do it will hurt the environment and wild life, one way or another. Less humans on Earth would solve a lot of environmental issues.
SWFU have you ever had a released bird who flew right back to you?
Founder and BBQ??? I think autocorrect made yet another mistake.
Survived a wind turbine! Didn’t know that was possible. Thank you for being there ❤️
We're glad it is!
