But also aspas is just the goat
The fact that teams literally avoid Aspas more than other players feels like a concession from all of those teams that Aspas is the best player in the world.

if your looking for a person who is on the same level as chichoo in this tournament i think sacy is a VERY good pick. He's been playing lights out this whole tournament and people are coining the phrase '2022 champs form'. Though i do think that players like aspas and chichoo etc may deserve it more, his preformance this tournament should not be understated. @Sideshow VALORANT
to be fair riens is criminally underrated bro has been the most consistent and perfect player but nobody even talks about him btw my pick is aspas but if th win its riens
The reason why kk hasn’t been putting up number stats against fut and prx was because he was playing with he’s team If he didn’t he would aggressively go for kills
I think S1Mon deserves consideration as well, his util use is insane and almost always sets up his team for a kill and he's currently leading the tournament in terms of number of assists
I genuinely hope aspas gets it. The only thing harder than becoming #1, is staying #1, and he’s doing it beautifully. Practically every duelist main points to him as an inspiration. Teams build strats around avoiding him. On top of it all, he comes off as a humble and respectful player. I love everyone else you named, but I think aspas really deserves to get this first official recognition.
Ever since this video been uploaded I believe Riens' place became more solidified now and TenZ is also up there. Yes he is almost always the fan favourite but against TH in all those 3 games he played marvelously while Zekken's Jett in both maps wasn't very effective. Yes during last half in defense he played more than anybody expected from him but it was too late. KK also moved up imo. Those aggressive off-angles on defense against LEV made them win the series and I'm dying to watch him in the finals tomorrow.
Even with LEV not playing well, i think saying "well, Aspas wasnt set up well so he may not be the best in 2024" PERSONALLY just isnt true because i mean, even in the games that the rest of his team played HORRIBLY, he was a regular savior. I think its hard NOT to label him as the best in the world, and it would be hard to say hes NOT the MVP of Champs. It's just so hard to see another player play at a, as you said, consistently high level as aspas plays. But, W video, I have Sen biased so shoutout Zekken, but every player you named absolutely could be named in the discussion
another thing worth mentioning is that he is the only player in the championship that other teams have already admitted that they try to avoid him as much as possible... this kind of thing makes it difficult for us to see those insane plays he made in the past
na its gonna be benjyfishy he will box every team from now on and drop 60+ in every bo3 and 100+ in every bo5, my goat benjamin fish will have teh best 3 games of his life and be the clear favourite for MVP
I was thinking Benjyfishy should be considered but when you really look at the statistics it wouldn’t make sense to have him over Riens. If benjy can do what he did during the games before playoffs for these last few matches he might be in the conversation. On the other hand just because I would love to see it especially with how much hate he had been receiving after SEN went into their infamous 900 day leave from the international stage, if TenZ was somehow able to pull off ridiculously high impact games for the remainder of champs and win the mvp award, it would probably be the player I’d be most happy for, because I don’t like seeing how willing the internet is to pour out as much hate as they can on someone for not meeting their expectations when it has no real impact on their lives.
the only problem i see here is that only using stats to figure out an MVP does not tell the whole story, what about the assists, the selfless plays of players like miniboo to set up his team for success, im sure there are many other factors we can look into rather than purely just stats analysis(or better yet, kills)
It’s hard to quantify things like space taken or vibes given by a member on any team so the MVP will always in a game like Val be awarded to top performing individuals that make it to the late stages of the tournament
