Try "A Tale Dark and Grimm" by Adam Gidwitz, "The Bookshop Girl" by Sylvia Bishop, "Unwritten" by Tara Gilboy and "Behind the Canvas" by Alexander Vance. You'll LOVE them!!
I am totally in agreement about this time of year and gravitating to middle grade books - they're just so amazing to sit down to and make you smile and laugh and cry, gosh, I love them so much.
Greenglass House and Winterhouse have been on my radar, they're gorgeous and sound so good! couldn't agree more about Harry Potter and Nevermoor ^^ great video
20:56 - 😭😭 don't cry, there will always be another time to believe in the impossible 💙 also YES Frostheart, gosh, it's one of those books where when I see the cover randomly in the store, I just smile. It's odd, but I don't mind it.
I am so happy to see someone else is this dedicated to middle grade books! I love middle grade books too but sadly, they are not that famous in the booktube community. After hearing your praise about these books, I am officially convinced of getting some of them!
I still remember seeing the Ad for winterhouse and being absolutely hooked on it, even 3 years later I still think so fondly of it, I’m definitely going to have to read it again
I just found your videos yesterday and I can't stop watching. Your editing was so great! Specially the way you talk about books, it makes me want to read them all 💕💕💕
That story about your childhood and your mom! Ahhh my heart. No wonder you’re the creative booklover that you are! I finally caved and bought A Pinch of Magic since you’ve been praising it since you read it. Can’t wait to have it in my hands!
You are really getting me into middle grade reads! I added many of the books you recommended to my TBR. Super excited about Shadows of Winterspell, and that cover is just everything! Thank you so much for the recs ❤️
It never fails that every time I watch one of your videos I end up adding so many books to my amazon cart. You make everything sound so incredible and cozy and perfect.
Hi Alexandra , I would love if you will do other video like this for this year . I just got couple of books from this videos . And can’t wait to read these book. I have started on Harry Potter . Love this video .
I just finished Nevermoor, Lexi! Woweeee I loved it so much. Thank you! Currently reading Greenglass House! And I got a pinch of magic in the mail recently :) I plan to read it in January.
Thank you so much for this video! I'm getting more into middle grade so this is so helpful. My daughter, bf and his mom all loved Keeper of the Lost Cities, and they all have very different tastes!
When I was young, I listened to all the books on audiobook before I went to bed! I thought I was so cool cause I had read all the books when most people in my class read just the second ♥️
I have brought so many amazing books this year because of you Lexi, you have such great taste and I can always rely on your brilliant taste in books. Definitely the Belle of booktube 🥰
My tbr is now longer! I am new to your channel, but have really been enjoying the videos and recommendations. I am just getting back into middle grade books and am finding them so much fun. It's like intense fantasy, intense mystery, fraught scifi, ahhh cozy middle grade, next intense read....
Loved Greenglass House! Finished it about a week ago. I switched back and forth between physically reading and the audiobook. I'm pretty picky about my audiobooks, but it was great!
1. Greenglass House On my TBR 2. Winterhouse On my TBR 3. A Pinch of Magic On my TBR and I have a physical copy 4. Nevermoor I have a physical copy and I've read this one. Didn't like it as much as everyone else. 5. Snow and Rose On my TBR 6. The Language of Spells On my TBR and LOVE THAT COVER! :) 7. Harry Potter I never wanted to read this before but I'm thinking of listening to the audiobooks. I went to a used bookstore here one day and they had all but one of the books and I chose to not buy it even though they were the first edition ones. I now regret that decision. Then again, I would be missing one of the books so this would annoy me forever. I'll eventually listen to the audiobooks (at least the first one). I've seen the movies and didn't think they were that great. 8. The Lion the Witch and. the Wardrobe Read the first book in this series and didn't care for it enough to continue so I never got to this book. I bought the whole series for my oldest nephew (Benjamin who will be 9 on October 22, 2021) and I'm just waiting to find out that he's read it but he has so many books that I think it overwhelms him and he never knows what to read. Or, something is up that he doesn't pick up the books I get for him. I hope he reads them soon. I have a HUGE box for him for his birthday as well as one for Christmas. 9. The Polar Bear Explorers Club I wanna get this series but I don't think I can find them all on Amazon. Or they have 2 different versions and I don't know which one is the right one. Amazon doesn't mention it, either. 10. North Child I think I found this before, maybe it's on my Amazon cart and I've forgotten. Or my wish list. 11. Frostheart I would love the UK version of this. I see 2 versions of it on Amazon and don't wanna get the UK version for one book and the US version for the other. I wanna read all the books in this series! 12. Winter Magic I have never heard of this one. I'm definitely gonna look into it. Thanks for mentioning it. Now on my TBR!! 13. Shadow of Winterspell I bought this after seeing Gavin unhauling it and I gave it 4 stars (just read it 7 books ago). I looked for more of her books and found "Snowglobe" and can't wait to read it. I've made my list of physical books to read until at least February of next year so either I'll read it in March (my bday month) or April but we'll see what I do until then. I may change up all my list until then. I'm pretty excited about each of the books on that list so we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll just leave it for March or April. Thanks for this video. Loved it all! :)
my cousin sister has the whole book set of cronicles of narnia, AND SHE NEVER READ THEM,she read only 37 pages and thought it was boring,sooooo.........i borrowed the books.AND I LOVE THEM
Looks like I already commented on this video. LOL... I have yet to buy most of them. A Pinch of Magic was a dnf, and I was able to get The Polar Bear Explorers' Club, but have not read it yet. It's #16 or 17 on my TBR cart now. 3 more videos and I hit #90!! Can't wait for this!!
Hi Lexi 😁 Well... I want all of them now!!! The Language of Spells looks and sounds amazing 😍 Have you thought about organizing a Narnia Readalong?! It would be so much fun! I only read the first two and have been wanting to continue for years now... Just want do add that I found your channel very recently, binged your vlogs and your channel is now one of my "immediate watch" when you upload! Also, you sound a look like a really good children's bookseller/librarian and future author. I also work with children (but in the field of environmental education) and just by the videos it really looks like you love and have the talent to work for and with kids!!! Hope you achieve your dream job and bring joy and magic to many of them 🤗 Sorry for the looong comment! 🤐 Hope you're doing well 😊
I LOVED A PINCH OF MAGIC!! It's just so amazing and I love it and I cannot wait for A Sprinkle of Sorcery. Also, yay it's so awesome how you've been so immersed in children's literature in so much that you do in life.
I am wally liked Greenglass House and an currently reading Winterhouse. I am loving it also. I almost DNF'ed Frostheart, but I forced myself to finish it. Idk why, but I just didn't like it and that was sad.
