Dimash is not just singing a song, he is at the same time introducing his cultures to the rest of the world. This performance has got very spiritual feel, i can feel peace and calmness, its like going back to an ancient village passing thru rivers and mountains with wild animals and birds surrounding me😊😊
Those are the sounds of kazaj steppe: wind, rain, wolves etc. This version was made at his home studio, a few weeks ago. The instruments on the wall are kazaj traditional.
Great reaction to Dimash singing Samaltau (Mountain of Spring Winds) at the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Great performance by Dimash. Loved the traditional instruments as well (kobyz en sybyzgy). Greetings from Amsterdam.
At the beginning of the song on the Kazakh ancient folk instrument KOBYS were masterfully imitated sounds that can be heard in the Great Steppe of Kazakhstan at night. . We hear the howling of wolves, the barking of dogs, the cries of cranes, the noise of water in the river... //////// The song "Samal Tau" is considered to be folk. Its plot is connected with the events of 1916. This year many men were mobilized for the First World War, which was in Europe.////////// Young Kazakh boy called to war. He walks down the steppe road at night and sings a song about the fact that behind his home and parents, native mountains "Samal Tau" and ahead of the unknown, war, and he does not know whether he will return to his home. /////////// Dimash sings this song in Kazakh. The song premiered on October 20, 2019 in China at the closing of the 6th Silk Road International Film Festival. ua-cam.com/video/1NkoFc-bQ_s/v-deo.html
Dimash always sings with deep emotion and drama. And he sings this, sitting on that stool with crossed legs... amazing. He is currently working on an album with kazakh songs, can't wait to hear it!
@Lightbringer I choose to recognize good music and musical talent everywhere and not make negative comments since there is enough sadness in the world. Yes Freddie was indeed a unique singer and performer.
I really love the home studio version of this song, it’s so much more intimate than on stage and he is painting pictures in my head. Amazing. I appreciate that you looked for the lyrics.
Picture young horsemen who have lived their entire lives on the open plains. Nomads whos lives are so tied to the horses they tend and are steeped in lore. A Czar decides you must go to war. You know nothing of politics and war. You only know of family, horsemanship, kinship. You are conscripted to fight in a war you know nothing about, for a Czar you have no loyalty toward, using weapons you have no knowledge of, and facing enemies you care nothing about defeating. Imagine fearing you will never see your family again. THIS is what the lyrics are all about. Now, listen again, to the gut-wrenching sounds of a young man who finds himself without hope, dreaming of his homeland as he is torn away and sent to die for a cause he doesn't understand. Do you now understand? The instruments offer you the sounds of the horsemen who hunt with golden eagles. You hear the wailing of the wind, the screeching of eagles. This performance is riveting.
I can feel so much of his culture when he sings these traditional Kazakh songs. He has said he is working on a whole album of traditional Kazakh songs during this pandemic and I am so excited to hear it!
A atmosfera estava linda!Tudo impecável!! Dimash é mesmo inigualável ! 👏🏼👏🏾👏🏾👏🏽👏🏻👏🏿😍😍😍🎶🎶🎶🇧🇷🇧🇷
The musicians are mimicking the outdoor sounds & the sounds of various animals on their Kazakh instruments. Sad but powerful song by Dimash’s voice of greatness. Thank you for your reaction. 😍❤️🥰🇨🇦
Most remarkable is how he sits on the chair. That gives a pressure om his stomach which should have an influence on his breath and voice control but it doesn't.....
Unfortunate that you didn’t get the backstory and subtitles from Gloria Wu’s UA-cam channel. At least you got the translation, though without the story they may not make much sense. Wu’s channel is a good resource and no copyright strikes! Love Dimash and his ability to sing ANYTHING with passion and perfection!
This song, like several of Dimash's, speaks of the pain of war, the hunger for freedon. Kazakhstan has such a bloody history with Russia. Dimash, this young miracle worker, sings of unity (The Love of Tired Swans), in one of his performances in the Kremlin, the central location of Russian politics. This is courage, healing and true command of purpose!
En mi país, Chile, se le llama "PALO DE AGUA", tiene semillas en su interior, hecho de palo de cactus y se le clavan palitos de bambú en el interior para que emita ese maravilloso sonido. In my country, Chile, it is called "PALO DE AGUA", it has seeds inside, made of cactus sticks and bamboo sticks are stuck inside to make that wonderful sound.
Hope you’ll react to Screaming by Dimash (MV and Idol Hits version), Love of tired swans (MV) Know (MV and concert version), Passione. And his duets: Ti amo cosi, Ulisse. Also please react to his kazakh song Give me love
That instrument which produces this like rain sound, or water, we also have it here in Mexican original culture, it's called water stick (palo de agua) and that what you were wondering whether it was like sand inside that hollow stick are actually seeds. Isn't it just amazing? And it is a sad story indeed. Some people say it makes them feel peaceful but to me instead I can feel the pain in Dimash's voice, that pain of the young men who had to fled their homes and family because they just wouldn't be or take part in Russian's army crimes.
"Samal Tau" Es una canción tradicional kazaja que habla sobre un soldado, que se ve obligado a dejar su hogar, para marchar a una tierra desconocida y luchar en una guerra extranjera, conocida como "La Gran Guerra" o "Primera Guerra Mundial". "Samal Tau" It is a traditional Kazakh song that tells about a soldier, who is forced to leave his home, to march to an unknown land and fight in a foreign war, known as "The Great War" or "First World War" .
It helps to know a little about the history of Kazakhstan over the last century from when it was in possession of Russia. There was a terrible war around 1918 and the Kazakhs suffered greatly. The young men were forced to go fight for the Russians. Used as cannon fodder basically. They finally won their independence and are now a growing country today. A musical and artistic culture. A strong and noble people Dimash wants to bring awareness of his country to the world through his music. He always includes traditional pieces in his concerts. I love it because it is a beautiful culture when it comes to the arts ....as well as the people. This is truly a fine example of cultural enrichment through the arts.
Somebody in chat asked how the story ends... Unfortunately probably tragic - first forced conscription during I world war, next uprising in Kazachstan, next communist revolution, terror, man-made famines that can be treated as genocide, more terror, second world war and more Stalin's terror (until he died in 1956)... Edit: ups... Stalin died in 1953, in 1956 the Khrushchev Thaw started.
