I would think about it logistically as well. If you spend 2 hours at a commercial then move, verses a house 30 minutes here load and unload time, more travel. But with residential you could be more flexible and offer and/or winter services. Just something to consider, and also diversity can break up the day.
Trash is most certainly my biggest issue with commercial work. If you target smaller commercial accounts, you can build a good rapport with owners/Management and they will keep you for years if you do the work well. When I was in Tampa, I held on to most of my commercial accounts for as long as I wanted them. Two condo associations for over twenty years.
I do have a good few that has been faithful to us for many years. So I get what you’re saying also. Or even if they all gave us a 2-3 year like some do that would be great also
@@Boglawn22 have you ever tried multi year contracts, something like a three to five year deal with a guaranteed maximum rate increase from year to year? (Fuel costs aside)
Great video I like both but if residential it has to be big accounts
Would love to see a video on how you go about bidding commercial clients. Particularly new ones that you’ve never bud before. Like the whole process.
