I was replying to a different comment that was about coppa and I had accidentally clicked on this comment instead and typed the response here. But it's really nice seeing people being so nice and caring and trying to correct me in a positive way.
it's really great to see the positivity being shared, which is why I enjoy this channel, I forgot about it for awhile and have been binge watching this weekend with a smile on my face. I'm 53 and love dolls, I love the aesthetically pleasing aspects of them. I love the budget friendly crafting Toya and Bella create and the ingenuity and imagination. As a crafty person that never fails to inspire me or gets old, and I think in this day and age, it's great for young people to see you can create anything with your imagination and back in the day reminded me how I use to create things I wanted from cardboard etc and loved it. Also great to see other men not ashamed to enjoy the joy of collecting and creating. Yes people will comment and think it's odd but I'm not ashamed and stand firm in my enjoyment of it all so don't ever allow others to pour water on your joy.
@4:36 you can use embroidery floss (which is actually 6-8 strings) so you can more carefully select the thickness of your line & you can control better where u want the paint. You can either hold both ends of the string & put color in the middle & hold it the length you need it to be & you essentially stamp the string to the paper. Just lay it down using some tension on the string for a straighter line & pick it up carefully. Or you can place the string with a little less tension & then release the string on one end & pull it across the paper to act like the paint brush. This is a great way to use more than one color & bleed them one into the other but without blending the colors. It's a lot of fun. Not necessarily for a leaf but still it works for the one color just fine if you don't have a detail brush. Any string will do. And if all you have is some fuzzy piece of something you can always take a quick lighter to it and will usually get rid of the extra fuzz even if it's synthetic material it just kind of melted back to the center of the string usually can be easily crumbled off once it's had two seconds to dry and not be warm anymore It just helps cut down the fuzz or take a dryer sheet and rub it down your string first even with a little water helps control the static. I'm cheap as AF, but also a super snob as to my supplies so I'm just trying to help share tips i use. (My brushes are all $30 a piece on the low end so I'm not sticking them in acrylic paint 😂). I also do needle work so have floss which is much much cheaper to use... Some hobbies just cost more than others. String that works in place of a detail brush, imo, is embroidery floss, dental floss or if u have jeans with a tear, pulla piece of denim string - those are my favorites for miniatures! Sometimes, if I have enough of them, I even put them in one of the small adapters for my electric pencil eraser, adhere them to one side with a small rubber band, like u use for putting beads in your hair, & with another small rubber band I put it over the whole adapter to hold it closed snuggly and you can put it back in the electric eraser that's designed to hold it and you have a fat, comfortable to hold new paint brush. The "bristles" are totally washable for thousands of washes. I keep mine in one of those little glass jars from the dollar store when I'm not using them. Often I don't even need to take them back out of the adapter for the eraser because those come with every refill I buy.
I have always loved miniature things and dolls, I'm in high school and I kinda feel embarrassed but watching your vids always inspire me to just keep on going :D
Omg please try making pothos which are the plants with long vines, it would also look really good in a hanging macrame pot, if u hang in the sorority house I’ll draw the eyes upwards making the space more interesting 🥰❤️
It'ssilvia I would cut or use a really small heart hole punch and make a bunch of tiny hearts using a green paper of your plant choice. Pothos plants come in different shades of medium green to chartreuse. You can use the same watered down acrylic paint method used here in shades of green or yellow to varigate the leaves depending on the species of pothos you want to make. Indent the hearts in the middle to create the indent in the main vein of the leaves and glue them at back and forth intervals to a piece of cord, thick string or twine (or the same paper cut into strips and twisted) in a green color painted or used slightly darker than the leaves. Cut to create vines and glue them into the pot in different lengths. I’d use different sized hearts keeping the bigger ones nearer the root and graduating to the smallest size at the tip of the vine. You can use the gloss or satin finish nail polish or mod podge on the finished vines also for a natural plant like shine.
i love theses! i've got 8 dollhouses and every one of them are getting plants! what i did different is i used glossy photo paper. printed light green on the shinny side and darker on the smooth side. They look super good. thank you for your great videos, and for the happy smiley voice! super cheerful
I think this is the best craft yet! Easy to do, supplies are things you already have in the house, and the plants look super realistic! I'm so impressed!!
Your plants are so lovely and add so much to any room. Besides which, spider plants are good for cleaning the air, so our dolls will be even healthier! I'm currently making some to add to my dolls' school room for the science corner.
I love this seeing this at 21 05 and four mins after posted these videos they are so fun and unique you can do them at home with out any problems I love this channel
I really needed to know how to make miniature plants for my dolls and also for start making fairy gardens. Thanks pretty much by sharing your knowledge with us 😊!
We love your crafts...and your unboxings...all of your videos. They are highly entertaining and informative. I have an alternate suggestion for your plants: if you don't have felt to make dirt, used coffee grounds make realistic looking soil (just give it some time to dry out first). Looking forward to your next broadcast!
Finally I can have a plant I won't kill in mere days

I love how realistic these look now I can make plants for my figures
You should do a Golden Girls themed craft, room, etcetera! I think the plant theme would go great with the whole 80's-and-plants aesthetic.
Froggy I'm going to start crafting my own miniature house and these will be the perfect addition!
All the best! 😁 I'm doing one too... From 3 years 😅😂
I am doing one too!! Ihope yours goes well
This is 3 years later ofc, but did you finish your dollhouse? (If you ever made it lol) Just curious, I'm sure it looks great!!
