  • The Tengu 4525HT 428Kv might just be the ultimate motor for the LOGO 690 SX! By raising the Kv to 428RPM/V, we created a motor that's more powerful than the stock motor while running way cooler and being able to handle back to back flights with no issues. The overhead in Kv allows the governor to hold 2000RPM rigidly without bogging even at the very end of the pack, giving the helicopter a more powerful flight envelope even within the manufacturer mandated 11° collective pitch limit.
    I recorded this myself because all my friends were busy :')

    I liked the way you quickly checked L/R for cars/people before committing to the auto rotation. Farmer must be wondering why his crop is shorter this year :) . Serious power and flying.

      Checking before landing costs nothing vs. hitting someone with a helicopter which may cost them their life. Safety first! 😎

    Always nice seeing you fly the Logo 690 sx, not only because I own one 😃 Seems a good alternative motor for the stock one!

      The 690 is still one of my favorites of all time, unconventional yet soo smooth and elegant. The only thing it's always been lacking was power, and now that that's fixed, it's the perfect 700 under 5kg.

    If I had a UFO I'd hire you to pilot it. Nice skills.

    How many thousands of hours does it take to reach this level ???
    Awesome as usual, and a huge thank you for the omp-m1 videos.
    Dialing in the tail gain save me from disaster.
    I'm still a beginner seven years into the heli part of the hobby.
    Fly Accura and RF every day.
    The M1 is the first micro I've felt had a decent level of control and power.

      I have been doing this for 12 years now, so literally half my life as I‘m 24... Time flies 🤯

      Many hours I once saved for a helicopter was 500ish, 10 minutes later I figured out that not only saving for it was OK but I should have found some sponsors. The toy never took off the ground. I was like 14 15. After that all went to hell

    That's nuts
    Also am I reading that wrong or is that controller saying you were drawing 6 kW?

    • @Johnny31297
      @Johnny31297  2 роки тому

      Yes, 6108W peak power, which happened at 149.7A at 40.8V battery voltage. The highest I've seen on this new motor was close to 7kW, and I'm sure it can do more if you ask for it. 😁

    Nice flight! Empty voltage is higher than Full voltage. Something is wrong!

      Yeah empty voltage is rarely displayed correctly, doesn't really matter

    Just a novice here, actually don't fly any R/C craft, but as an electrician I see 428Kv (especially written as Kv) as 428,000 volts. Am I missing something?

    • @Johnny31297
      @Johnny31297  2 роки тому

      Kv stands for the velocity constant of the motor (kV would be kilovolt), which is given in RPM/V and technically a measure of how much voltage a motor outputs for a given RPM when used as a generator. It would be more correct to say “Tengu 4525HT Kv=428RPM/V”, but basically everyone just calls it 428Kv for simplicity’s sake. I don’t like it either, but what you gonna do?

      @@Johnny31297 It's how I learn. In my field of work we refer to it as back EMF. Thanks for the info.

    • @Johnny31297
      @Johnny31297  2 роки тому

      @@SMOBY44 Yepp, the motor generates back EMF by spinning, which opposes the driving current. When you apply a voltage to the motor, it will speed up until the back EMF cancels out the driving current minus the current needed to overcome the friction and losses of the motor, and RPM will top out at roughly what the Kv value suggests.
