  • Can’t turn your Mercedes headlights off?
If you have a Mercedes with daytime running lights (DRL) and your light switch does nothing (Canada and Europe) there are only a couple workarounds to turn your Mercedes headlights off and in this video I’ll show you how.
Note, there is no way to turn them off while driving and there is no way that I’ve found to turn off your parking lights with the car running.
I’m not a Mechanic, nor do I work for Mercedes so, maybe they have a magical dance or prayer that works.
Car in video is my 2015 Mercedes GL350.

My 2010 E350 lights don’t turn off when I turn the switch to the 0 setting as long as my Daytime Running Lights are enabled. If I disable the DRL, then I’m able to turn the switch to the 0 setting and all lights turn off. Check to see if your DLR are enabled and if so, disable them and try turning the lights off with your car running.

Thanks for the suggestion but sadly there is no option to disable them; at least on my car which is in Canada where DRL is mandatory by law.

my 2014 GLK250 has the Intelligent lighting and I wanna use my parking lights are DRL. I know I can use it in the middle from the P and the A but they aren't bright enough to be seen.

can you leave the key in accessories and have them stay off? e.g. play music. radio turns off after half an hour or so

Ya. That’s how I feel about Mercedes and its stupidity in this particular model year. Headrests not suitable for children and lights that don’t turn off even when you want them to!
