Beautiful footage! My Father flew PV-1's and later the PV-2 during WWII. He was stationed at Whidbey Island and later Midway in the Pacific. Loved all his old stories flying these planes! Thanks for posting.

Did they find any whales? My father said that while patrolling out of Halifax (RCAF #145 Squadron) in Ventura GR5s, a single surfaced whale looks a lot like a submarine.

Awesome. My Grandfather flew PV-1 Ventura’s for the RNZAF in the Solomons against the Japanese. Wish there were more flying
