Reading out loud will really help you to improve your pronunciation.
If you watch my videos which will teach you how to make the sounds, and then read for your daughter, it will help you to integrate the correct pronunciation into your English speaking, and also it will help you to become aware of where your difficulties are.

Thank you. Apparently, I’ve been transcribing the wrong vowel /ɔ/ for English words like ‘bought’ and ‘saw.’
I guess it’s because I learned IPA for French, Italian and Thai which all have a pure /ɔ/ vowel.
Some regional accents might approach [ɔˡ]. As an example, Philadelphia dialect uses a fronted [ɔ] somewhere between [ʚˡ] and [ɔ]. But I suppose we’re looking at standard RP here.

Hi M, Thanks for your message. How long have you spent practising each video? The best thing to do is to practice each video until you are comfortable with the lesson, and then move on to the next.
      Michael

Hi Ə, How are you getting on with your pronunciation?
I'm giving away a free 5 day pronunciation course at the moment... You might have seen a UA-cam Ad for it. Have you gained access to it?
If you found this video helpful, you'll love the course!
      Best,
      Michael

    我晕哦,有没有中国人在。这后两个音标如果用hot这个词来看,区分,你会得出一个感受,那就是这个老师教的是英式英语,如果用美式英语,显然,发音就不对了。--对了,我测试的软件是金山词霸。
