I'm back after a minute. Sometimes crying is the only sane response. That was Mom crying. I heard she said at that moment she knew that she was going to have to share her daughter with the world. Some have disputed this story, but it sounds right if you know the family. Brother it has been 4 yrs + and I still make it about a third of the way in before the water starts. Love the reaction, Benji. I've seen that video dozens of times and I've cried every time. I saw an interview with Omer Bhati, the first judge that talked to Angelina before she sang. He said that the judges were all astounded by her, but they couldn't be sure if she was really that good, or if it was more about the sing choice. It is, after all, a song from someone who has lost the love of their life and is considering suicide to once again be with that person. The next time the judges saw her, she was giving instructions to the musicians about how she wanted them to do the song. He said that they knew right there and then that she was the REAL DEAL.
I'm torn between summertime and I'm a fool... I'm a fool was the absolute first audition, acapella! And it's billie holiday and she's but a baby and it's amazing. All the other hopeful kids are behind her and if they really are musicians they had to be astounded and scared. But summertime is one of the episodes and it's so, so good. On the second stanza when she sings "oih you're daddy is rich"... I defy anyone to say anyone has ever delivered better.... Either way you can't go wrong.

I never get used to her singing at this age, totally amazing. Hits me in the chest every time and my eyes start welling up.

It's all right my man. Also a guy, also cried in astonishment the first time I saw and heard this. There is something about a prodigy like her, where she is a portal to G-d or the Universe somehow, that there are forces beyond talent, beyond training, an eternal, cosmic well that some people can tap into more than others, but connects us all.

Isn’t it just incredible that we bend sounds waves from our bodies and some can from those waves so when we here them our whole body and soul reacts no matter who we are and where we are…..I’m probably 1000 of miles away from you but here we both are sobbing with Love,loss,beauty,happiness,sadness, joy and wonder of human life.
All because she like Bille could bend those words and sounds waves into a language all feel and understand.
