Just watched the whole video. Red, thanks for these amazing, high quality, no-nonsense videos. I really appreciate the level of detail and the dedication you put into these little 20 minute videos, I'm sure it isn't easy. Easily one of the watchmaker GOATs of UA-cam. 🐐
@RedDeadRestoration hey man you keep doing what you're doing. We all appreciate the work that goes into your craft. Let me know when you're Los Angeles, I'll buy you a fatass burrito.
I got the impression that this restoration was a bit more of a challenge than some of your others. You did an incredibly amazing job. This was so enjoyable to watch you work your magic.
Love the way that leather strap takes up the end link space, like a rubber dive strap would. Don’t think I’ve seen that before. Top notch resto …as per usual 👌
I never imagined the degree of precision that a professional watchmaker has.... It's amazing... A separate issue is the quality of the watch, which is beyond any doubt... !!!!!!
Well done mate! I was quite stunned that you got the brushing on the lugs that nice when you did it manually. Very nice workshop you have now 👍, hope it will last for 100 years 😊
This is no restoration. This is a resurrection! What an amazing job! And the old and restored Elma cleaning machine has been replaced! I’m gonna have to get use to that. Thanks for this great video!
Incredible work! I just think probably a replacement hour and minute hand would have been good! Surprised the glue on pallet stones didn’t come loose in that fire! Anyway, great job!
Excelente video ..!
RED DEAD RESTORATION HAS USED A LOT OF VITAMIN,PROTEIN,MINERAL,CALCIUM..ETC ON HIS EVERY WATCH RESTORATION!WHAT A AMAZING BEST WATCH RESTORATION IN THE WORLD!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Awesome job. I have to say though… I was cringing when you were polishing that one up. I was so hoping you’d keep all that beautiful character and fire damage, including the dial. It was the coolest DJ I had ever seen all weathered and beaten up like that, and it would have made a great conversation piece. But I guess it would not have been a restoration then. Masterful work. Well done. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you!
1. Dachte hab mich verschaut- neues Video von dir. 2. Sehr gute Gehäusearbeiten- wie immer. 3. 😂
Congratulations for restauration ... The song "Overdrive" by Corbin Kites at the end was incredible. I've been your follower a long time. Happy 2024, health and peace for you!
Salute for the old Super Elite cleaning machine o7 She did great work getting us here, but there will always be a younger, fancier replacement waiting in the wings.
Amazing work! What makes this even cooler for me is that I have this very 16013 myself 😁 minus the fire damage of course 😉 How come you didn't clean the hands a little more to get the gunk off to give them a better finish and scrape out the damaged lume?
The hands were damaged by corrosion and the tritium gases. Not really a chance to restore the metal of the hands I think. Replacing Tritium lume is something I'm trying to avoid in general... The condition of the lume wasn't bad enough to remake it in my opinion 😉
@@RedDeadRestoration I see, just thought I'd ask, I was just thinking about the old cracked hands lume breaking off over time into the clean case! I've thought about the possibility of re-luming mine professionally but I'm just going to keep it all original as it still looks amazing from '87 :)
Your tools and equipment are something out of a Rolex factory! Great job on the restoration as always.
Thanks 🙏
More like from Elsa factory 😂
Are they a new sponsor?
Kerja dan peralatan yang mumpuni....
@@edwardzanin2000waah indonesia juga gan sama nih
I have a watch that is very nostalgic to me. Would you be willing to assist in possibly repairing it.
Sad to see the old watch cleaning machine go. I remember watching you do the restoration of it a while back.
New flux capacitor, what a time to be alive
A smarter man would have put the entire watch into the Flux capacitor and restored it.
Oh shit another silent movie
This is what’s called SKILFUL. A true master of a craft that fixes quality items with intimacy, passion and true skill. Bravo!👏👏
Another amazing restoration. It's hard to believe it's the same watch.
Thanks mate 😊
Beautiful work as usual. Sorry to say I hate the strap. Hope the owner pleased.
Came here to say this too. Feels wrong to bring a Rolex back from the dead and then use that band.
this is my favorite rolex watch model and watching it come back to life just makes me so happy.

Thanks, it's really hard to put all that stuff in around 20 minutes 👍

Awesome restoration! This Rolex Datejust really goes from zero to hero 🏆
I got the impression that this restoration was a bit more of a challenge than some of your others. You did an incredibly amazing job. This was so enjoyable to watch you work your magic.
Who else watches restoration videos to fall asleep 😅
I watch them because I find them oddly fascination, just like watch Bob Ross. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't nod off many times.
Guilty 😑
You re so lazy and impacient 😁😁😂
Got tinatis and listen to the sounds helps me fall asleep 💤
That’s literally me and now it’s 2am i think i will fall asleep in 10 min 🤣🤣
Love the way that leather strap takes up the end link space, like a rubber dive strap would. Don’t think I’ve seen that before. Top notch resto …as per usual 👌

that case restoration is on another level! brilliant!
You really did a Great job and I love the leather strap. A very classic look plus it doesn't add much to the weight of the watch.
Will miss the vintage Elma cleaning machine! 😭
It made some wonderful sounds. while spinning... 🎶
The editing alone is 2nd to none. 🇬🇧
New cleaning machine is crazy!! Keep pushing!

Hell yeah! I love the watch restorations
A new life for the Datejust. Nice work.
your time machine makes always the miracles…perfect job, as usual Maestro, taking nice care to all the parts with your brass or plastic tools
So glad you changed the dial. Great work on this watch.
Incredible work! I just think probably a replacement hour and minute hand would have been good! Surprised the glue on pallet stones didn’t come loose in that fire! Anyway, great job!
Повторюсь, регче разрушить и начать с заново, чем что то востонавливать.
Это показывает профессионализм рестовратора!
Amazing work 🎉
Another beautiful transformation my friend!

Same. I was kind of hoping for a conservation vs. a restoration but maybe that’s what the customer wanted.
Yeah the dial replacement was a little sad. Shoulda kept the original.
