I have a Trackstar .21. It is Alpha made. I put a Nivarossi P5XL crank in it and it woke it up massively. Also put one of the newer trackstar cooling head on it. Its a screamer. Easy to tune and gets decent run time.
We make the most out of whatever we have! The stock crank is certainly an area that can be improved, I was thinking about sticking a hard coated OS crank into mine, we'll see how she feels as is. Thanks for watching!
i have this trackstar .21 engine. about 2.5 to 3 gallons into it. .good power...a little tricky to tune on the low end but overall great for the price. i was hoping to find a replacement piston and sleeve for it but it appears to be discontinued. cant find one anymore?...bummer.
But Todd regardless of the orientation of the head on the track star it’s a Taiwan motor they are kind use at your own risk.⚠️ put a couple of gallons through it and don’t ask it to be something it’s not. And then box it up.
What's wrong with his Hyper7s. I have a Hyper7 and a NB48.4. I like my Hyper7 a lil more parts are cheaper and it RIPS so there is less worry when I beat the hell out of it.
Those original trackstar heads SUCK LOL. They dont cool very well. I replaced mine with the newer style cnc cooling head that they put on the latest Trackstar. Thye call it the pineapple head. Has angled fins and holes drillled through it. Works WAY better. But most 4 bolt Novarossi heads will fit also.
The main thing I didn't like about it was it's "high profile" setup, sitting tall on the engine. And yeah, the Trackstar shares a very common head bolt pattern.

@@NitroTalkwithTodd It's not so much the height. It's no taller than my oldest Rossi cooling head (OG P5 ebay purchase). It's that it isn't as big around in diameter and is made of a cheap cast like aluminum. When I put that Rossi head on it it ran a bit cooler. Didn't notice any real performance difference. The stock head just doesn't transfer as much heat as a better one will. Run it stock if need be. It'll rip either way.

I disagree the Trackstar I have is Alpha made. It will run with all 3 of my Novarossi engines. Just doesn't get as good mileage but it's super close.
