I´ve been listening to metal for thirty years. Allegaeon obviously have the skills to compose and play something truly special and unique. By this day they´ve had many excellent songs in which metallic geniosity is present. Even so, Allegaeon haven´t hit the ultimate vein of musical deity. But they are so close to making music that is in the scale of biblical miracles.

They are so good, and now with the lyrics transcribed, I am propelled into an argument about theology which reminds me of the passage from the Bhagavad Gita (Juan Mascaro translation, not the suborned Swami Prabhupadha ripoff) where Krishna and Arjuna are surveying the field of battle, where lie Arjuna's loved ones, and he trembles, and asks Krishna, why? This is the field, where we must live and die, but there is the Knower of the Field. Allegaeon are knowers of the field; keep going guys.

I bought The Supreme Oppressor...partially because the cover art is done by my favorite artist and partially because Jamie Graham is an amazing musician. Also, I now have Blackwater Park, and it is amazing.
I still haven't gotten mine in the mail... This is torture. This song has grown on me actually and I do find it a lot more memorable than the first time I listened. I don't think anything will ever top Accelerated Evolution.
I have heard tracks from other albums and loved them too...but I am buying the albums in chronological and have about 30 bands I have no CDs from, and I want to fix that. It'll be awesome when I get to Ghost reveries, the intro to baying of the Hounds is incredible. If it's any consolation the last album I bought was Sylosis.
Well you can't always be the band that adds something new to the genre. Instead, Alleageon have solid and unique songwriting skills, their songs have a definite recognisable "touch" in them.
name similar bands that also use classical guitar and have some heavy and some soft sections each song. Also name one other with understandable growls and a solid rhythms ection rather than all lead instruments. Allegaeon are fixing a genre with huge potential that was otherwise unrealised.
First track of Ghost Reveries is one of their best in my opinion. Also, which Sylosis album did you buy? I have Monolith and Edge of The Earth, love them both.
This band and Beyond Creation are my two main inspirations for playing guitar and drums. I'm so glad I found this band.
