What went wrong? The quality is pretty much the same but the views have dropped like 90%... It suck because Dan is amongst the best gaming rappers out there.

As a schizophrenic (diagnosed in 2006), let me just say that I appreciate the class and respect you showed in making this video. To be completely honest, I'm a lot less...polite about it. As far as I'm concerned, I'm completely nucking futs and I'm okay with that. :P To anyone out there who is dealing with schizophrenia, I have a few of pieces of advice that have helped me and hopefully can do the same for you: 1) Stop worrying over whether or not what you're seeing/hearing is real. This was the biggest thing for me. Constantly trying to figure out what's real and what's hallucination is both exhausting and unnecessarily stressful. If something could be a threat to you, your family or your friends, treat it as if it's real and protect yourself/them, damn the consequences. If it couldn't possibly be a threat, even if it's disturbing/disgusting/weird, just treat it as entertainment. Hell, there are people who pay good money to be able to see/hear what we do, embrace the fact that you get it for free. ;) 2) If you're hearing voices, no matter how insistent, tell them to piss off. Would you allow your best friend to talk you into doing something dangerous to yourself/others? I wouldn't. If I wouldn't do it for my best friend, I'm certainly not going to do it for some random voice that doesn't even have the decency to have a body attached to it. If they want it done so bad, they can damn well do it themselves. Leave me out of it. 3) Get yourself a cat. If there's any animal in the entire universe that understands schizophrenia, it's cats. If you do something random in reaction to something that isn't actually there, it's insanity. If a cat does something random in reaction to something that isn't actually there, it's Wednesday. A cat will never look down on you if you see/hear things that don't exist. Of course, they'll look down on you just because you're not a cat, but that's to be expected. 4) SEE A DOCTOR AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!! I cannot stress this enough. Being schizophrenic can be dealt with and you CAN live a good life. Not necessarily a "normal" life, but a good one. To do so, you're going to need help. Your friends and family can't help if they don't know there's a problem. If they're not willing to help, they're no longer friends and family, just people you used to know. I'm not the world's biggest fan of doctors, but even I can admit that they're a necessary evil. Find one that you can deal with and listen to them. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and tell you to do everything they say, but at least hear all of the options before you ignore them.
I wish I could follow that advice. At least the first bit. I have always been afraid of the things that I hallucinate. I don't know what other people get, but I would give anything to not have to have this. My symptoms started to manifest when I was around 12, so I have been dealing with it for a long time, but even now it is hard sometimes. I have a hard time getting close to people because I know some of the shit that I do does not make sense to other people. Like... Sometimes I know the skin on my arms isn't splitting and spiders are not crawling out of them, but I still start to shake my arms or swat at them.
Heard from some researchers it helps to talk in a sense to them or at least the voices NOT trying to dick you over lol? It's all interesting especially finding out it's common for kids to hear even if they aren't born with the szchephrina
@@MsLadyDarkside if it gives closure or helps I know an artist who was able to cope by drawing out the hallucinations, turning them into inspirtation .. it was really amazing though I can't hope to imagine what he went through before getting better... The dude drew out amazing stuff in the end
Look, I'll admit this right off the bat: I don't have schizophrenia, and I'm on the Autistic Spectrum, so I can't easily understand other people's experiences, but I just want to offer something that has really helped me in my dark spots. In Viking times, swords were relatively rare, and extremely expensive. Of these, pattern-welded swords were some of the best quality swords ever forged in Europe. This is due in no small part to the forging process, which requires the swords to be tested until it breaks under the strain, then reforged. This happens over and over again, until eventually, the end result is a sword of breathtaking beauty and quality: simply put, these swords are the stuff of legends. To anyone reading this who is struggling with any kind of health issue, be it mental, physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual, know that you are still in the forging process. You must endure being broken over and over again, but when it's all done, you will be a being of such strength, beauty and quality as to be worthy of legends.
Hi, it's good to hear something from a schizophrenia sufferer. My wife is diagnosed with the same illness too since way back in her teenage years. But, as someone who had witnessed her relapses, what I observed of her symptoms is way different from what the medical books said about schizophrenia. When she relapsed, she's lost total control of her logical mind. She could went off to walk outside butt-naked. She would sing all by herself in randomly worded sentences. She would try to eat rocks and other inedible things. She would try to open the car door while it's at full speed. Although her symptoms was cured with anti-psychotic meds as prescribed to schizo sufferers, I wonder if her symptoms are typical of what other schizo sufferers normally experience, because from what I have read, normally schizo sufferers don't suffer total loss of control of mental faculty like she did.
This is amazing?? Like it gives such a good feeling of how Hellblade works with Senua's psychosis and also talks about the stigma around psychosis and aaah! I love it! Once again another amazing and seriously real song by Dan!!!

Hellblade was a beautiful piece of art that made the player more fully understand the experience of having PTSD, Schizophrenia, and other forms of psychosis. The lyrics of this song captures that as well. Well done Dan.
I really would like Dan to revisit this song with his own chorus vocals. Listening to that sample of it he gave, if he layered in his voice with a bit of reverb and a few tone shifts would add so much to the theme of the song. Otherwise I am upset it took me so long to listen to it.
