Avoid a Folded Join (Shuttle)

How I avoid using a folded join closing a shuttle tatted motif in the round.

Thanks, Shelley! I am 1.5 yrs needle, started shuttle in January and tried making the Celebration Flower motif with both but that last join with shuttle wasn't working out. Now with your suggestion, I'll give it another try! 😃👍🏼😀

It takes practice, but like I explained, a folded join is beyond me for some reason. If this helps you I’m really glad.

once I could visualize it in my head , it is no different than joining to a picot in a previous than continuing on. It just looks more complicated because of the strings looking trapped in a small space.
