Don't give yourself a hard time about reconciling and then separating for good. The reconciliation was probably necessary for you both to come to the final conclusion. Oh no, I'm so so sorry. I called off an engagement before and was also SO embarrassed, but you know...nobody actually cared. Nobody even remembers it happened except us and our parents lol. I got married eventually (to someone else), and I thought people would be like "Oh, actually gonna go through with it this time?" but no one did ofc. And on here, we all support you, but we also don't know you and you don't owe us ANY info about your personal life at all. Either way, you're the queen of decorative planning and honest and open YTing, and I know we're all grateful for your content.

Thank you for sharing, Mary Ellen. No one is judging you here. We adore you. Certainly, you did not come to these decisions lightly and you are doing what is best for you. Just because we miss someone does not mean we are supposed to live our lives with them. Eventually letting go of what was will make space for what is to be, and believe me when I tell you that the best is yet to come. You will get through this. I'm so glad you found that it was not going to work out BEFORE you sold you new house.
It would have sucked to sell the house you were so excited to have, then shortly after end your relationship. That would have been a double whammy.
On the up side, your home can feel less congested without two households worth of stuff.
You were on a roll with your lists of to do items for the house before your Japan trip.
After you mourn the relationship again, grab those older planners & decide which house goals still apply.

Your willingness to share both the good and the bad is what I love most about your videos. Life is messy - yet most only want to make everything seem perfect. That’s not realistic and definitely not for me! I’m sorry you’re going through another rough time. Prayers for your u as you adjust to another life change. One last thing - I hope it helps you to know that I save your videos for times when I’m having a bit of a rough day as a reward for getting though it because u love them so much. Hang in there.
Everyone must go through the seasons of life. Some seasons are definitely worse than others. This too shall pass. I have had a couple, unfortunately a couple, relationships that were in and out and ultimately didn't last either. Your transparency is what makes you "real", never be embarrassed! You are soooooooo loved! I have always felt we were sisters from another mother! LOL Keep your head up my friend.
