I just bought a new 2023 M10. 70 percent off the original price I couldn’t resist. Kinda can’t wait till the warranty expires to try the new app. I also have a full power emtb so I can feel the difference. I really like the way the Rise rides compared to the 53 pound full power bike though. The extra power is really fun too.
How is it holding up still good? Also do you install and modify it all through the app or does it need to be plugged in? Also got a h30. I want it to go 85nm and past 25kmh
On my H15 I’d like to run with RS (max 60nm) and profile 2 “regular” ep8 settings, 85nm max. I will have to increase wattage to say 250, 400, 500 to accommodate the new profile 2 settings. How will the higher wattage settings affect the ride characteristics and battery life when using the RS profile 1 settings?
I am not 100% sure but using the basic formula of Power = Torque x RPM (aka cadence) I think the higher the power setting means higher motor torque output for the same cadence? Obviously battery usage will be increased, as well.
When you installed your magura MT5'S the other year, did you still use centrelock hubs? I recently bought a MT5 brakeset and have bought the 6 bolt speed magnet as magura rotors are 6 bolt. I will now need to buy a centrelock to 6 bolt conversion. Just wondering does this work with 6 bolt magnet
I have the H15 as well and I just downloaded the ST Unlocker. So easy to change the settings. I put the settings for the 85 nm on profile 1 as I never used that profile and kept my old settings on profile 2. Curious to see battery life changes. Nice additional power but still not as powerful feeling as my Trek Rail with the Bosch smart system. That bike is a tank but rides like a tank while my Rise feels nimble even with my Rockshox Zeb Ultimate 160 fork on it. Thanks for the vid and info 👍
Don't have this bike, but is it normal to throttle the customer's bike with lower assistance when on boost? Is this normal? Makes me not want to buy an Orbea ever.
@@Zetler Yes it is. Orbea purposely detuned it to 60NM and called it EP8 RS (rider synergy) for the light weight MTB. For the new Rise, they finally derestricted it 👍🏻
Wauw, I was wondering how this move would work out, because I read that the 540wh battery of the 2022 Rise H is unable to handle the 85nm. No problems so far with extreme drain or other misbehaviour?
I was on the same boat, until I saw they came out with the new Rise with only 420Wh battery but also with 85Nm so I was like F this lol. Then I went to the forum thread (added to description) and saw lots of people had no issues whatsoever so I took the plunge.
I had my first ride with the unlocked 85nm this morning, and had a blast! Feels great and no problems. I think the motor makes a bit more noise, but that can be in my head.. The only thing I am not sure about is setting up the wattage. EP8 uses 500 in all 3 profiles, but I used your setup for now. Is there a reason for this setup or just experimenting?
@@btentusscher Awesome! Yes I noticed the motor being louder also. EP8 RS stock wattage are 150/250/350 in the 3 modes, but not sure what the difference would be if you set torque the same but higher wattage.
Yes I think so! I believe the formula is Wattage = Torque x RPM (aka cadence). So at a lower RPM, I feel like theres more torque at the new wattage (500 in boost).
If you have the EP800, no need to back down if you're only adjusting Torque. You do if you want to increase top speed assist. If you have EP801 or EP6, then I think you have to use PCE1/2 module to do it.
@@Getoutside2day Haha, the App is only $1.50, and I'm pretty sure that's all you need. I actually bought the premium license ($33) and later found out you only need that if you want to derestrict the top speed. If you have the H model, I'd say go for it because you have plenty of juice 🤙🏻
@@allshownogolf I have ST Unlocker, and I think I did pay like $1.50 for it. At the time of purchase, I just wanted it because it was the only app that told me what percentage of juice I had if I was curious to look at battery level. I need to look to see how I can derestrict if possible, but my Rise is the Carbon frame. do you think that makes a difference? Thanks for all your input.
@@allshownogolf yes I makes a huge difference😄 It should be around 75 nm. The 360 watt hour battery won't give enough juice too get the 85 nm. The new rise with the 600 watt hour battery gets 85 nm but only at 450 watt peak power. So you got a solid setup compared to the new rise 😄

Nice one! I will do that when the motor is out of warranty :D What kind of ratchet do you have? Is it the stock one from DTSWISS?
I have I9 Hydra hub

I had another set of wheels I built that had 6 bolt pattern so I never used the stock wheel/hub setup
how many watts at 85nm of torque can the 2022 orbea rise 360 watt/hour bike handle?
@@lithium25693 I don't think anyone confirmed. I just know some ppl on the forum say at 500 they noticed motor vibration

That's awesome man! Yea I heard the Bosch motor on the Orbea Wild is pretty... Wild 😆
You got the Amadeus laugh, LOL
🤣🤣🤣
How much faster battery burn did you see? Rise m10 21 for me
This route usually uses 2/5 bars, and this ride was the same. I got home with 3/5 bars left, but mine is H model with 540Wh battery
But I guess that's not saying much, because it could be 41% vs 59% lol

Rise is light weight Ebike, same as Trek Fuel EXE, Specialized Levo, and many others. They all have torque 50-60 Nm only.
