You’ve gotta be kidding me. I just joined the fandom a few days ago, barely know any lore, and I still find the gayness obvious asf. 1. They have OFFICIAL MATCHING WEDDING RINGS. Capcom collabed with a jewelry company. 2. Wright calls Edgeworth “Daddy” in one of the games. I’m not kidding, look it up. Forgot which game cuz I’m a noob. It’s here on UA-cam though. 3. They’re listed 16th place in Top 20 Nintendo Couples. 4. “Thanks to you, I am saddled with unnecessary…feelings.” -Edgeworth People have arguments against this, but even their own explanations make Edgeworth look gay as hell for Phoenix. 5. Legally Blonde vibes. You telling me that Phoenix, who went through agonizing and stressful years of law school just to see his old friend, is completely straight? (Yes he dated a girl, but that doesn’t mean he’s not attracted to men. He’s very likely to be bi.) That’s way too far to go if you love this person platonically. Sure, he also had other reasons, but I’m pretty sure that was the first one. (Correct me if I’m wrong, which I’m pretty sure I’m not.) 6. The rest of their interactions. If all the gamers who’ve played Ace Attorney immediately start shipping them in their playthroughs based on their interactions, then I’m sure that’s saying something.
@belynda1224 I doubt you could link being friendly as gay. Maya and Pearl are the best partners ever, and you can't call them lovers because there's no real implication on the lore. Sorry, but no matter how you look at it, Wrightworth isn't canon, just like other straight/queer ships like Phaya and FranMaya. Deal wit it lol
@@krisjolt I quite agree with you, but i must ask.. WHY USE MAYA AND PEARL?! They are NOT lovers because they're 1. Family, 2. Their age gaps are hella far. Ships are just people's way of enjoying a fandom/game. If you disagree with a ship, that's fine. No one said that ships has to be canon. Unless a ship is downright problematic (Like Pearl and Maya, which i hardly believe anyone even ship), i think it's fine. As much as i'm not a wrightworth shippers, i must admit i understand why people ships them.
