Excellent opening shot with the large port crane on Broad gauge track hovering above the unit. It is amazing sometimes how these can go for years without being seen. From an economic point of view RELCO has been exiting the Alco lease fleet and with it smoking that badly time finally caught up to it. One has to love that large mirror on the left side for the engineer to watch for the brakeman. So in the end it still lived to be The Old Reliable. Thanks for the research and great video
I don't recall which model it is, but there is an Alco (or possibly MLW) switcher employed by Burlington Junction at an elevator complex in Rochelle, just off the road to Seward.

You’re welcome @@SamLovesTrains!
that’s a lot of smoke!
I think it’s burning oil.
Most alcos smoke like that I think it’s turbocharger lag
Hell ya
Is the old timer still in use as of May 2024?
Unfortunately no. It broke and was replaced with a trackmobile so I’m told.
@@SamLovesTrains is it in a muesum?
@@PatrioticCoservativeAmerican Sadly, nope.
@@SamLovesTrainsCan it be saved?
@@PatrioticCoservativeAmerican I’m not sure who would be the ones to contact
