    The Slync.Io Dubai Desert Classic, which is the oldest DP World Tour tournament in the Middle East and the longest-running outside of Europe, returns this week to Emirates Golf Club for its 33rd edition - and first as a Rolex Series event. It is the third event on the 2022 schedule and is the second of five Rolex Series events set to be played this year, following Thomas Pieters’ first Rolex Series triumph in Abu Dhabi last week. Paul Casey returns this week to defend the title he won by four shots last year, which saw him earn a milestone 15th European Tour title. Previous Rolex Series champions set to tee it up include current DP World Tour Number One Collin Morikawa, Tyrrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood, Shane Lowry and Lee Westwood. An in-form Rory McIlroy is one of several former champions who are heading to Dubai this week following a strong performance in Abu Dhabi. The two-time champion, who is making his first start in this event since a runner-up finish in 2018, hasn’t finished outside of the top ten here since his victory in 2009.

      @marts5555,
      I’d imagine us weekend hackers feel the same way TBH.
      I say, let’s use Adam’s swing as a guide to improve our own swing.
      He’s fundamentally textbook.
      There’s a lot we could learn from him.
      💯

    He still uses 680 mb which produces lower ball flight than 690 mb and definitely shorter distance and flatter than modern equipments.

    • @lucascarman2578
      @lucascarman2578 2 роки тому +1

      Not sure where people get these sorts of ideas from in golf. Both of those irons are blades with identical lofts, lies, and lengths. There is no reason why one would fly lower or shorter than the other. They're basically exactly the same club.

    • @wazi13
      @wazi13 2 роки тому

      @@lucascarman2578 No he's right. The 680's have a higher center of gravity because the muscle placement is a lot higher up the iron head than the 690. That does produce a lower ball flight but not necessarily less distance per se. Scotty can still hit a 6 iron 200 yards with a traditionally lofted iron. He doesn't need juiced lofts and forgiveness of more modern game improvement clubs to achieve this.

      I saw that too, I think he bladed it! Same tempo but ball shot out faster and lower, and about 30 yards longer. I think it was an "I'm human" oops. Heck I saw Rory dead shank a wedge on the range a few years ago, he was like WTH was that. I've seen these guys hit knock-down low shots on the range but I don't think the distance varies 30 yards. I say he bladed it.
