Kris' voice has this great rasp, sort of low growl to it that stands out among Chanyeol and Kyungsoo's smooth, almost honey like voices. And having a distinguishable voice compacted with individuality is a wonderful asset in a industry where a lot of "idol rappers" sound the same. He may not have the all the raw talent, but his execution is nice. When it comes to singing, though, he lacks vocal control, which is why his rift at 2:59 is shaky and a bit off. Chanyeol is definitely the most well rounded member of EXO. He's easily the most skilled rapper under SM; and not only does he rap, but vocally, his tone is steady, he's quite skilled at providing ad-libs, is able to harmonize, and he has good control. He composes, writes, and arranges songs, and is able to play the guitar, the drums, and the piano. Chanyeol's visual honestly isn't anything to over look either. Plus, he's good at variety and has a nice stage persona. If anyone in EXO is going to go solo later on, it should be him.

there’s something magical seeing exo doing things in 2013… i became a fan in 2016 but these radio shows were what i watched to get to know them, get to see how talented they were even though it has been just 1 year since their debut. and when you look at them now they all have come a long way and they have improved and grown so much. i’m glad i was able to witness part of that journey. (but man i really loved the way kris raps, all that talent and for what :( it sucks)
I've been listening to kpop (or what passed as kpop) since 2000, and I've got to say, I really, really, really like Chanyeol's rapping. Definitely one of the best ones from SM Ent.
the harmony between those three just freaking awesome. chanyeol's really talented and gave the best back vocal made the harmony went really well. kris smooth voice really gave splash to the song. and of course d.o voice made this perfect as always. i like those three here.
I've watched just about every idol group who has covered this song and tbh EXO is by far the best. What does it for me is D.O's and Chanyeol's voice. They fit so perfectly well together and D.O's voice is already so soulful which matches the song so well. I thought Kris did great ! His rapping is improving everyday. SM Entertainment broke the mold with SJ but they are slaying the entire world with Exo. I would love to see them do a straight up acoustic concert- they have the talent to not just pull it off but slay all the other acts who rely on trax and dances for impressive live performances. This is gold. I can't get over how amazing these 3 fit together. Kyungsoo's soulful voice, Chanyeol's harmonizing and his fierce rapping and Kris' deep, soothing rap just wraps it all together. He just brings so much emotion and depth to the song. No two would be complete without the other. If Kris had stayed, I bet that these three would make the perfect sub-unit. Chanyeol and Kyungsoo are so in sync with their music tastes and Kris is just so unique.
Not to mention that these three got along so well back in the day; Chanyeol and Kris were total bros and Chanyeol brought out the silly side of Kris, while Kris was in complete adoring-hyung mode with Kyungsoo, who was seriously so comfortable and happy around him. Ugh, why am I doing this to myself haha :')

there’s something magical seeing exo doing things in 2013… i became a fan in 2016 but these radio shows were what i watched to get to know them, get to see how talented they were even though it has been just 1 year since their debut. and when you look at them now they all have come a long way and they have improved and grown so much. i’m glad i was able to witness part of that journey.
(but man i really loved the way kris raps, all that talent and for what :( it sucks)

I've watched just about every idol group who has covered this song and tbh EXO is by far the best. What does it for me is D.O's and Chanyeol's voice. They fit so perfectly well together and D.O's voice is already so soulful which matches the song so well. I thought Kris did great ! His rapping is improving everyday. This is the first time I've ever Chanyeol sing as well and I was so impressed ! Didn't know he could hit those notes ! Anyways, this is a great cover and I hope they do more in the future! (:

I am so in love with these guys!! I have a newfound respect for Chanyeol tho, I had no idea how wide-ranged his talents are, almost reminds me of Top in the way that you forget that behind the rapper is a helluva voice (take a listen to Top singing No Diggity, he's got a special voice), however, Chanyeol takes it a step further, he's also a guitarist.Exo are entertainers without a doubt BUT its very clear that they are a group of artists as well. SM Entertainment broke the mold with SJ but they are slaying the entire world with Exo. I would love to see them do a straight up acoustic concert- they have the talent to not just pull it off but slay all the other acts who rely on trax and dances for impressive live performances. Something like this impresses me far more!! Awesome job guys!!

Even though Kris is my bias, I think that his voice would suit better in another song or something. I felt like he didn't show everything off. I mean we've all heard him sing and actually he's pretty good but his vocal range is lower than Chanyeols.
