- Thanks to Red E Ag for helping us make some upgrades to the John Deere 2510S strip till machine with a 1910 air cart. Stainless steel was added, we installed some new wireless blockage and flow sensors, we found and replaced a rotted out gasket, and I got a new hat!

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Thanks to Red E for everything! Check out their UA-cam channel and website in the description!
Will have to check out their system. I can see using that technology in another application at work. Like those flow sensors.
First Welker farms Quadtrack now Red E
@@dominikpiskoric9649 they were here first in 2019! Nick and Leg Arms stole them from me!!
Hi
@@MillennialFarmer lmao you trend setter you
Glad we could help you out again Zach! It was a pleasure working with you.
Is the new funnel gasket different than the original so the fertilizer won’t deteriorate it?
Where can we get one of those hardhats?
@@mattdorrel2593 We found them off Amazon!
@@lyonfarms Our funnels are made out of stainless steel, making it no match for fertilizer corrosion.
@@RedEAg aren’t the stainless parts going to cause an increased rate of galvanic corrosion on the carbon steel parts they are contacting?
Those guys are hard workers and great sense of humor. They did an outstanding job at the Welker's and now at MF.
There was only 30 seconds left in the video before I realized there were 2 RED HAIR GUYS !! This tech crew is great to watch... Thanks all !
This year I took up a job in a John Deere dealership as a parts sales role after more than two decades as a farm hand, today I celebrated a whole month in my new position, whilst watching this video the first ad was my new company advertising 6m tractors.
"It's a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn." Michael Bloomberg :-)
Great informational video Zach, however with all the talk about seals, I was waiting for a joke......... That is why Walrus go to Tupperware parties, to find a tight seal. LOL
🤣🤣🤣 never heard that one before
Many years ago my grandfather worked for a Co-op over on the Olympic Peninsula, so it brings back memories and a smile to see the various people come out to help install new items and trouble shoot problems with you. For years we could walk into the Co-op after he passed and farmers in there would recognize us and chat with us, telling us some of the stories of the things he fixed. Good times.
I really want these guys to come work on my air cart. There’s nothing wrong with it, they just seem fun to hang out with!
First Welker Farms, now Millenial Farmer, these guys get around.
Actually it was Zach first then welkers this is the second time Rede has been to Zachs
thought i recognized them
These guys get around.....thats what she said
Quality products get noticed
@@shermantank27 100 percent agree.
Farming has never been just about putting a seed in the ground and watching it grow!
I approve of all changes and modifications made in this video.
I know that means a lot to everyone.
Extremely interesting, nonfarmers would never believe the tremendous amount of knowledge that is needed to be a farmer. Technology has made made farming much more efficient. Yet you have to be knowledgeable in how everything works on your modern equipment. You just can't call the service man every time something isn't working. This is just one of many pieces of equipment that is used in a farming operation. Stay safe and healthy
Bloomberg comes to mind
@@Sc-jf3yk, Yeah, I though farmers just stuffed a seed in a hole, add water and then you have 5000 acres of corn to pick, by hand of course ! Lol
Yep need to be a millennial to farm lol!!!!
It's like these dudes could be NASA engineers, but didn't find it challenging enough.
Oh, there's more then one way to skin a cat,and you don't have to have the latest and greatest technology to be a good farmer.
This is like a show on any paid cable channels... That impressive, that professional... Becky bug thumbs up to you on editing
Many thanks to Red E Ag for their great work on Zach ‘s planter system. You guys are great and first class setup on equipment. Thanks.
Those Red E Ag guys seem like good dudes.
I really like the videos where Red E guys come and upgrade your equipment vs just buying something new. I think for me it’s way more intriguing watching the process of upgrading and then having a better understanding how the equipment works. Those Red E guys are amazing to watch work and how they can be a real benefit to the farmers of today. I know this won’t be great for your pocket book but these upgrade videos are awesome. MF your content is a genuine education brought to the masses. Your channel is the blueprint and gold standard of UA-cam channels. Great job man thanks for the education.
Every day I look forward to watching your videos. This has to be one of my favorite videos. I work at the Johndeere in Ankeny, Iowa building tillage, sprayers, and cotton machines I’m working towards an internship with a design I love seeing improvements that can be made to the equipment that just work and reduce farmers down time.
Mind blowing the amount of hoses and wiring on modern equipment now days. 👍👍
That dude was to excited about showing you them switches 😂🤣
He soo was. 🤣
Passive Aggressive guidance had me dying.
that's it I'm putting stainless spinning rims on my muck spreader.
Hey Onyx, see you are still working on the lasso, better than video game's all day, I'm fifty, and as kid's, my brother and cousin and I were lucky we didn't get hurt with all the crazy stuff we did, good to see you guy's tearing it up like we did back in the day. God bless ya all.
Looks like the worst day ever is a thing of the past for the @millennialfarmer. Love all this new technology. Excited for spring.
The guy that was really happy about the switches he installed deserves a free top hes awesome aha
Nothing like a good convo about garage door sizes while eating burgers with the boys
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Merica’ 🦅🇺🇸🦅
2 boys, shop floor, a rope and a creeper. That has fun written all over it! 😂
Possibly the most interesting video you've ever made, I love seeing this rig come together
I love new farm tech and once it’s calibrated it runs like a dream
Pretty neat how many of these companies are staffed by farmers. Interesting to see how much of the industry is driven by the people who directly use the product.
Red e deserves a big shoutout
I grew up on a dairy farm in Vermont. I love these videos showing how the different equipment works Thanks
Cole! This is how you produce an interesting video!
The RedE guys are amazing and do excellent work!
boy oh boy i would want them fellas to come back for the first planting for sure. can't wait till planting season too see this high tech thing work. great video-glad ur back again.
Thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to seeing in the fall.
SWEET, I love straight pipes. Now the cart will be much more awesome. lol The cart now has been fully Millennialized.
Thanks zach, for the explanation on my questions on the factory building that technology into their planters to start with. I appreciate your commitment to your fans and their posts!👍keep up the great videos and live chats! Cant wait to see your future farmer this year during harvest!
You didn’t need to say that was MPL’s son, it was obvious, he’s the double of him 🤣🇬🇧
The yeah just confirmed it
That look at 15:02, we've all been there. RedE knew what they were doing.
I knew you wouldn't be able to say no to that fancy new stainless steel piece!!! So convenient they brought it with them. That's a good salesman. Haha
Pretty neat little system
Can’t wait to see it all in action, especially those camera shots
Awesome Zach! Really great to see all tech details and major improvements on the drill. Fun to have these educated Red E Ag engineers around. Machine will work well again when seeding season restarts 👍👌🍀🌱🚜
Awesome, this same company was on the Welker Farm UA-cam channel a few weeks ago. But, there was more details about the system. Thank you for sharing!
I enjoy watching your videos and letting me take part in your life. My life as a 32 year Car dealership parts man tells me you need to invest in MANY sensors and brain computers to make sure you can make it through any day. Since the more you take away from manual controls, the more expensive the repairs and frustrations it will be.
Nice chores over the winter, now everything is greased up and ready for the spring!
First I avoided this video for a bit but it turned out to be one of the most interesting videos on the channel. Good job.
It's nice to see a new video. The frequent videos during planting through harvest have me spoiled!
Please get some Between The Rows videos going too! :)
I really hope after all that work it really goes well for you , looking forward to seeing it going
This video reminded me off the first time i saw MS DOS, a few decades ago lol. Yup. By the way tell Becky great choice of music at the end.
That was a great video! Such humor! I can’t wait to see how much these changes help you this year! Bless you all and thank you!
Best sales guy out there, just loaded the parts up in case.
This is a fun video to watch! Thanks to all!
every time I watch your excellent channel I chuckle to my self I remember when Minnie mike Bloomberg said to be a farmer all needed was shovel and some seeds GOD BLESS OUR AMERICAN FARMERS
Similar to Nick, Scott and Roberts recent upgrade. Defo the year of the drills. 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
This kinda techie engineering stuff fascinates me as much as the farming itself. The levels of technology and innovation that go into these kinds of machines now is mind blowing. Those guys really know their stuff and look like they do great products, they even bought you some you didn’t ask for... ;)
Nice upgrades on the seeder.I thought those bump caps were a stupid idea, until I started wearing them. Then I realised how much better than a hard hat it was. Especially as I installed ceilings so nothing should be falling on my head. Well nothing that a hard hat or bump cap would save me from😂😅😆😋ThankQ.TkEZ>UK
Can't wait to see all of this in the field!!
Those are some nice upgrades sir. Can't wait to see the joy on your face when you use them. 👌
I was waiting for the "did you think they were ever going to leave".
These guys know how to tug the purse strings "They are so shiny" Z-"Good, that's what matters" lol
Very cool video well done. Stainless is a must with those chemicals that will corroded regular steel. With the RedE upgrade, I’m looking forward to spring to see this in action. Thanks Zach 👍
That was a full day of work!
That was one of your more informational videos that you have put out. Thanks so much for all you put out for us to watch, I am from Calif and enjoy your videos each and every one. Good luck to you and your family this coming year
That's just amazing. Looking forward to seeing that rig in the field!
BOY! Those RED E guys suuure do get around! Welkers to the Johnsons in a snap of a finger... lol
I am really really impressed with everyone. Whew! I enjoyed the video and can't wait to see everything in operation.
Much better without the shake! Can't wait for Spring! Miss the daily videos. I start my work day with a cup of Black Rifle Coffee and Millennial Farmer. Merica!
P.S Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.
Love your videos. The bit of comedy you put in makes it really fun to watch. Keep it up.😆👍
What a great guy, picks up bacon cheeseburger baskets with FRIES for the guys!!!
Last few videos watching the Millennial Farmer take apart all the wiring i was thinking, "no way hes the one putting it back together" lol
Ahhh Stainless. My favorite steel. I think every welders favorite. It’s why I say delorian cars were way ahead of their time. I guarantee if someone made a stainless steel truck today it would be sold as fast as they could make them
This is a beast to me! Modern farm equipment is crazy to me!
That brings back memories , i did the upgrades on those 1900 carts when first came out .
I was a 100 percent sure that was Randy's kid as soon as he was on camera and Zach I love it when you get the guys lunch
Looking good I'm looking forward to seeing this out in the field hopefully working a lot better
Really enjoy watching people who know their jobs . Great video
The field install crew were all quite nice and skilled.
"super cooler" just sounds.....super cool! Looking forward to that video 👍
Great video. I didn't understand everything but I'm not a farmer either, still enjoyed watching people work that knows what they are doing and how to get the job done. I always heard it was duck tape and bailing wire would fix anything. It's does not matter how much it will cost you up front because if you put on at a variable rate it will save you money on your fertilizer bill at the end of the year and for years to come. Have a great day
Pretty crazy !! I planted corn by broadcasting some N and planting 4 row dry fertilizer... This precision ag is really awesome.. wish I was 20 years younger and still farming !!
Excellent video there Emeffer, it all kind of makes sense.
Stainless steel is the workhorse of chrome 👍🇺🇸
Thanks again, Zack & Becky.
One of your noisiest ever! Very interesting, enjoyed it. Glad they solved the corrosion problem--no more "optical interpolation"
He has a real knack for creating high-quality content.
Cool video Zach......Can't wait to see the new toys to the tiller and how helpful it will be for you!!!!
Red E seems solid!!!
This dam strip tiller been stressing me out too lol I feel your pain buddy .. everytime I see it in a video it stress me out but well worth all the work in the long run
good job there buddy. glad you had the tenacity to see it through to the end..........
Amazing video guys thank you.
Red sure is a good salesman came ready to install fixes for the problems he thought you might have. Good Video
Nice upgrades and repairs Zack. For the long term you will love the stainless collection you installed.
Great video for someone wanting to join NASA. I never realized how much technology is needed to be a farmer.
👍😄 from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 in a hard Lockdown and curfew
thanks for the video
it all looks nice.
I hope you have a good 2021 season.
already looking forward to the new videos
Stay Safe and Healthy !
Love to see Milwaukee, favorite tools by far
Wasn't until the end of the video that I realized there was 2 different redheads
I think your pups can't wait for Spring to arrive.
Absolutly loved this episode thank you
That's a Fun-Crew to watch. Very nice and love the detailed video.
It’s like the cast of Silicon Valley set up an agricultural equipment upgrade service
Now let’s go snowmobiling!!
I am not a farmer but what you guys did today was really neat love to learn new stuff , I watch your UA-cam channel all the time like I said I'm not a farmer but a logger love to have a farm we used to have a feedlot cattle feedlot cattle about 15,000 head but Simplot started their own feedlot so we lost their business so we sold out now just logging and trying to make a living love you show
