I was already into inducement trading and I use shelves as you call them. What really was an eye opener was combination of the shelf overlapping the IB. Powerful stuff. I never noticed it. Hey there, I have been trading for about a few nonths now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points. I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me. I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. What candlesticks do you use for confirmation off the shelf ?
Sir i have one question when we have clear shelf and also clear fvg but there we 2 fvg one is above shelf and one is lower shelf so Sir which one is actually work.
BY shelf you mean ORDER FLOW ? donw close candles in uptrend should be respected and orderblocks nested withing a fvg ?
So is it better to trade fvg‘s or orderblocks?

What if the buying pressure is so hard from taking liqudity that you also got taken out. (for example 5:56) How will you know that the markt doesen't go any further? I mean you could look in to lower timeframes for conformation but then you will miss massive profit from that high volume
Thanks brother ETM🙏🏾❤..so price should not react at FVG then heads to shelf as you have explained it today and last week so my question is even if the reaction from fvg is small enough does it mean our set up is invalidated or it needs to be a big reaction from extreme discount to even above 50% premium incase of buy orders the way you explained it in pd arrays?
Preferably you want your first interaction to be with the overlap. It gives you a slight edge comparing it to a reaction at the gap then proceeding to the shelf. Its around 8% advantage if I recall

Hi I have 2 small questions - 1. which TF should i use to see FVG formation and (then go to lower TF to plan entry) and enter it when price retraces back into it.... (2) If there are 2 FVGs in say DTF one current and one below (few days back) which should I use for entry? Kindly respond as I havent found the answer to these questions anywhere. 🙏
