Did you have any trouble with controls when playing this, because that was the problem a lot of players experienced. They also say that the game is too similar to tabletop soccer aka foosball and when playing on the defending side, unlike from the previous Kinect Sports Soccer where you need to defend the ball with other players or teammates besides the goalkeeper, you only play as a goalkeeper just like from your gameplay
I like it more overall. I especially like how timing can actually make a difference. There was no timing in the last Kinect Sports soccer (all it was kick to a player, choose a direction, and kick again). This time, if you time it right, it's boom, boom, boom. I also like how you can put English on the ball (bend it like Beckham). Yeah, it would be nice to be a defender. The goalie punch thing is neat but weird.
Yeah I have noticed it tracks your goal kicks amazingly well. Same with your wrists in bowling. I wasn't impressed at all when I first started playing ksr but I realized there are a lot of nuances to mastering the sports. It isn't as simple as it looks at first.
