Tom, you are a UA-cam star! Just found you after a conversation with DM. I will make sure you are following all prescribed allowable techniques and keep you honest! 😁😁

Robert, I've missed you! Since Napier never gives me any feedback, I'm relying on you to hold my feet to the fire. More to come soon.

@@shipmodelguy I will e-mail you to make sure you have current address. Have not done much modelling recently - no excuse, except I have been making furniture. Rearranged my shop and now I can't find anything!

Astonishing video, Tom! I've never seen this method described or demonstrated before, and I'm anxious to give it a try.

Hi Tom, your videos are great and have helped me out a lot. I’m building a Mamoli 1/54 scale of the HMS Halifax it has many extra pieces I can not identify in the instructions. Is this common with Mamoli. One piece in particular is a 150mm L shaped strip 2mm/2mm, any ideas what an L shape would be commonly used for in a schooner model. Thank you, Jon H.

Glad you're getting something from the videos. As to your question, I'm sorry to say I have no idea how the piece you described might be used. I not familiar enough, either with the vessel or the specific kit you're building to offer an intelligent guess. But, perhaps someone reading your comment may have the answer. We can hope... Good luck.

Thanks, i was missing your content very much!
Can you make a video about cutting/outlining practices, in terms of precision. I always find myself making things just not aligning right even though i though i measured well. or my cuts are a half degree of 45 and it shows... or sometimes i forget about the width of the saw, or the teeth make things wider. etc.
I think most if it is to technique, and knowing what to do and what not but i don't have that experience yet.
can you make a video about the practices you have learned over the years about cutting and sawing to make things look perfect instead of just good???

Hi Matthijis. That could definitely be a possibility. Thanks for the thought. Is your boat in the water yet?
