Hello Kerwin, Tau and Olivia. Wow, I love the version of Lazarus that you all did. You used the perfect animation for the song. Please keep up the great work.
Just discovered your work. Simply incredible guys. Im a big PT fan and was pleasantly surprised to see a worthy cover of my fav band. You might have better music video ideas/direction than the original too. Will definitely check out your other work ❤
Thanks so much Andrew. I put a fair amount of attention on the visuals because I've always felt that a lot of prog bands, PT included, underutilize their music videos in bringing out the storytelling in their songs.
@@gothikserpentmusic agreed. For the most part, PT visuals rarely enhance the song. Whereas your visuals and storytelling not only fit the track but also add an extra emotional layer. Keep up the great work, it is appreciated and a nice surprise somebody has taken the time to create something new from something old.
Hi Kerwin and all involved, I have to say that this is really incredible. This song has been incredibly special to me for a long while. I’ve also recently started making an effort in reproducing the lovely sounds of progressive rock. I think Richard Barbieri would be super impressed with this!!! If you don’t mind me asking, how did you manage to recreate the sort of sireny sound in the beginning of the song? I’ve been experimenting with some synths and I can’t for the life of me figure it out. Really beautiful work, you’ve captured the essence of the band perfectly.
Thanks Preston. The opening siren sound was achieved by layering three different tracks, all running an Arturia Prophet plugin v3. First track has the "ProVS 41 Anahorn" preset. The second track has the same preset but with a much slower attack so that the notes fade in slowly, and is panned 60% to the right. The third track has the "Ambient keys" preset with the glide setting all the way up so that its note slide into one another. All three tracks are run through a fourth delay track that is running in parallel, and they're playing alternating notes in the opening melody to create this overlapping quality. Hope that makes sense!
This one's hitting me just like PT's version, so powerful. it's perfect.

We certainly will, thanks Larry.
Blissful, I have no other words for this!

Brilliant cover, one of my favourites from their older albums. Trains is another classic but I've seen a few people cover that well on here already.
Thanks!
As always - this is wonderful!
super well done!
Another one perfect cover! Thanks
Thank you dmitry!
❤ Gothic serpent ❤ Porcupine tree
Half-expected this to launch right into "Halo"
Now there's an idea for the next cover.
Great job! 🔥

@@gothikserpentmusic thanks so much for the response! Totally makes sense. Really appreciate it.
