When I was these kids age a long time ago I got sent to reform school. That place did me more harm than good. I got out and went back to high school. I was having a lot of difficulties adjusting. My auto shop teacher took an interest in me. He got me involved in numerous projects which included engine rebuilding, welding, body work. He took me under his wing and I am eternally grateful for him. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have straightened my life out and have the skills to pursue a career. I might have ended up in prison the rest of my life. I am now retired and never went back to jail. I wish these kids could’ve had somebody like him.

When I was these kids age a long time ago I got sent to reform school. That place did me more harm than good. I got out and went back to high school. I was having a lot of difficulties adjusting. My auto shop teacher took an interest in me. He got me involved in numerous projects which included engine rebuilding, welding, body work. He took me under his wing and I am eternally grateful for him. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have straightened my life out and have the skills to pursue a career. I might have ended up in prison the rest of my life. I am now retired and never went back to jail.
I wish these kids could’ve had somebody like him.
