@@feraguilar4175 yeap, the same type the one cristine used in her video to use on acrylics and cuticles i used the smallest diamond bit which is actually for cuticles but worked wonders 'cus is really thin and pointy, it was so long ago eeeeeeveryone asked me how i did it, if i did it myself, and if my nails were real hahaha specially 'cus they were stiletto and they hadn't come into 'style' yet xD and nowadays it's SO mainstream that basically if you Don't have long nails of Some sort You're the odd one, also i've seen the nail rings coming back aswell in a few acrylic nail art channels i follow, i guess people are less afraid of putting a lil hole in acrylics as opposed to natural ones and experimenting in general with cool nail art and long nails it's not seen as ''omg you're weird or a hooker' anymore hahahahahaha society standards and stereotypes are weird xD it's a good thing they're slowly changing hahaha♡
Oh I wanted to do that years ago but I tried with a pin, and it split the little part of the nail from the hole to the end. I thought it was because I did it on my natural nails and not acrylics like I'd seen, but since you made it work au natural, I'm not sure if I was too close to the edge or if the pin was a bad idea. A thick layer of nail polish could've helped, I think had bare nails when I tried. Any tips for when I try again? hahaha
@@JasminMiettunen I'm no expert, but I think a big part of it is actually *the pin* you pushed through. The way filing or drilling works is it removes the product/whatever you're drilling as you go, and it doesn't use much pressure and force to do that. It's like if you've ever used a hammer and nails and tried to hammer a thin part of wood at the end, and it splits. There's grain in wood just like in your nails, so be even more careful the thinner your nail becomes (so slow down and lighten pressure to not break the nail as you go). If you've ever broken a nail you can see the grain if you look real close and up against a light (on naked nails, no product or polish).

I actually kind of love the mostly removed look that you get with the mostly bare nail! You have to do it again now! 😆
I'm kinda surprised how chill this vid was after the start
Oooof thankfully it's just small damage. Ty for posting this and stopping us from being worried about your nail!
You are the first comment!
Hey
I'm definitely into the idea of Holo Taco Nail Oil because I'm willing to bet Cristine will be all over preventing cross contamination. I'm allergic to lavender so I can't use most premade nail oils that don't keep the fragrance blends separate.
Cristine: This was such a stressful day
Ben: Do you have a report deadline?
Cristine: no I used a drill on my nail
PrIoRiTiEs! 😤
Lol
Peoples watching this be like:

- Watching in half screen
- Reading comments
- in online classes
- Or having a great day after watching this video
All of the above

Just came back from school
Just revisited this now-oldish video and I just wanted to say, the outro music on this channel gives me the most nostalgia, idk why but it low key makes me emotional
Nobody wants a hole in their nails except for troom troom
Why? Because it TrOoM TrOoM!
(Curse you troom troom)

@@johndododoe1411 yup. It’s her holo taco prototype. That’s why it’s different
Girllll, you can help yourself by letting the acetone soaked cotton sit on the polish for a minute or 2! Saves from some of the swiping. ☺️ and before anyone comes for me I’m not being rude just trying to help and I’m a nail technician. 😂
I think you would do that if it wasn't as thick but I think each of the nails have over 15 layers of nail polish
I think what Jules said is probably at least partially it and she probably also wanted to see it reveal the colors as she wiped lolz
You’re right but I think she just wanted to see what all the layers looked like as they were coming off! If she soaked it like a nail tech would it would look all weird and muddy :P
I remember the first time I used a drill to “buff” my nails. I had no idea what I was doing and dented each one. They HURT for a month and healed a couple months later. Definitely practice first
I love the vacation vlogs. I still go back and watch them sometimes when I need a boost bc you and Ben and Corrine and Rob seemed to have a really fun time. the whole time seemed to be “and then hilarity ensued.”
Her: no one likes holes in there nails
Her in a future video: we are going to make this nail look like a chesse thing idk its basically putting holes in my nails
Wow, seeing Cristine in a room with natural sunlight? Iconic.
Simply: I won’t use the drill
Simply at herself after using the drill: 6:16
In all seriousness tho luv you Simply!!! 💗💛💅🏽
i think we’ve learned over time to not trust electronics to do our nails... so many simply videos...
She tried the nail design robot though! LOL
"it's the worst to have a hole literally in the middle of your nail, no one wants that"
me walking out of the room slowly because one of the things i used to do is to literally drill a hole on the corner/center of my nail to attach a bling charm lil ring with a swarovski :v it looked dope actually hahahaha
I was thinking about that! It was a cool trend for a bit, did you used a drill?
@@JennyJinKs so cool, you were ahead of the curve girl! 👏🏻 yes let's chage ish up!
If you've ever broken a nail you can see the grain if you look real close and up against a light (on naked nails, no product or polish).
anyone watching in 2024 and when she said i ant never going back to polish mountain YES YOU DID!!
This was the video everyone wanted to see. I bet all the simplyfans where like: WHAT HAPPEND TO YOUR NAIL!!!!
I will never understand how a person is capable of painting nails this perfectly
"I aint never going back to polish mountain" yeah... about that
Not gonna lie, when she was putting on the top coat over galactic and sonic, a sense of calm just went over me and made me so relaxed!
“Don’t drink the acetone” ... STORY TIME!! So I was removing nail polish and I had my water bottle and my acetone bottle (you see where this is going) I got a little thirsty so I reached for my water and grabbed my acetone bottle... let’s just say acetone is spicy...
Well you're still here so that's good, is you're throat ok? Did you call poison control? Yikes! 😱
I once was eating a lollipop while doing my nails... like you said you can see where this is going. Who would of guessed! Nail polish is also very spicy
@@Shanzieee 💀💀💀💀
The way this vid is two years old and we still have no halo taco nail oil 😭
cristine: "dont break a nail!"
also cristine: *almost drilled a hole in her nail*
This seems like a good complement to Polish Mountain. You could call it Polish Crater 😄
